How does your game fit the theme?
I took the arcade game Asteroids, and 'reversed the players role', making him play as the asteroids and no the ship.

I noticed that I tend to try to keep asteroids away from the ship, since that way the ship can't shoot them that easily (and it doesn't seem like I can't actually destroy the ship by running the asteroid into it), so we're both trying to avoid the ship getting hit and therefore kind of on the same side.

Developer

The ship cannot be destroyed by the asteroids. In addition, having more asteroids on screen increases the increase in your score.

It's a great idea, but actually playing it is a bit difficult. Part of it is the randomness of asteroid spawn, which I understand and respect (part of the design philosophy of the games from the 80's it clearly homages), but having to click on each individual meteorite and drag the mouse to create a vector gets overwhelming quickly as the number of asteroids on the screen grows. I'd love to see some high level player (or AI) on it :)

Wonky controls but this is really fun!

It would be nice to have better control over meteorites.

really like it, keep it up!

Fellow asteroid coder here! I liked the mechanic that you can decide how much force you can put into the throw. I would advise you to implement collisions to give the player more options to mess around with (maybe hit an asteroid with another one to save 2 at the same time). Overall good game!

Developer

Thanks :), I did actually implement being able to drag multiple asteroids at once.

The music is great and the graphics are well done. Great job. :D (is the leaderboard online?)

Developer

The leaderboard is indeed online

Very fun and addicting for me. Adding an online leaderboard for a game jam game is a great idea to keep people engaged an was unexpected, will borrow that idea for my next game! Worked to keep me playing for longer then i liked to admit.

9150.

I loved it. I'm first !

I love the concept!

It's a good game with a nice take on the theme. However, it was very easy, and the only time my ship took damage was when an asteroid spawned right next to it.

Great game, very original!

Nice game! I like how you allowed for different speeds of the asteroids with the click and drag. We actually had very similar ideas for the jam, I liked you take on it.

good game!

Such a cool idea!

Very cool idea! The player drifted off-screen and the asteroids would spawn there, but other than that I enjoyed it

Submitted

Very cool, but i feel like the game is kinda unfair. There was several times where asteroid spawns right by the ship and immediately gets destroyed. I have no time to react in this case! Still, this is very fun and entertaing game, got first plase on leaderboard!

Now I'm first ! :D

Game runs quite slowly for me, but when it works, its lots of fun. I can't get the leaderboard to work, either. And the ship sometimes drifts off the screen.
