I was fully prepared for Lucy to be sucked into the psychosis of her drawing world. (Kind of disappointed it didn't go down like that - very cliche.) I want to know more about Lucy's backstory.)

It was a great little tale and nice use of pictures like that.

Developer

Thank you for playing Little Lucy. We intend on adding more backstory in the game after the jam concludes.

I liked the overall aesthetics of the game so scored it highest in that category. As far as the theme of life in 2-Dimensions, I'm guessing that its essentially the act of living through the pictures that you click on, which is a very cool interpretation of the theme (so top marks there too).

I kind of get a "Little Nightmares" type vibe playing it, and that's one of my favorite game series ever, so that's awesome. It  did seem very straightforward and I pretty much clicked on the images and most of the time randomly clicked on the prompts (the prompts seemed very similar aside from the dragon ones).

It feels like there is a lot of scope that you could expand the story into and I see that you say you plan on continuing to work on it, which is great because I would love to see what you can do with it - there is a lot of potential here. Good job.

Thank you for playing and rating our game. We also really like the Little Nightmares series.

Loved the simple art and the game idea, but it did feel a bit too easy so maybe increasing the difficulty a bit would help improve the game. But other than that good game.

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback.

Cute simple point and click. The idea that you can interact with the pictures was a neat concept. Feels like there is a lot of potential here if you decide to expand it into a larger game both for meaningful choices (eg: good/neutral/bad endings), and overall story.

Developer

Thank you for playing and  the feedback. We are planning on working on the game after the jam.

Cute little game. I like the idea of interacting with the pictures, but it would have been cool if there was more to do inside them, puzzles to solve, that sort of thing. I was thinking of Fran Bow as I was playing, I think it would be cool to up the creepy factor bit. Good job on the game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. We are planning on adding more to things to do when the jam is over.  We will also be adding to the story.

Needs to escape orphanage, was expecting creepy horror game, was only half wrong!

Also, Ann sounds like a horrible child

Developer

Thanks

pretty unique game. However, I don't know why but the vibe of the game is creepy. Maybe if you continue this post jam, you can add more interaction in the picture dimension instead of only choosing dialogue (maybe what you should do there is based on what you choose). overall good job completing the game!

Developer

Thank you for playing and the feedback. We are planning on working on the game post jam and adding more things to do.

i really love your art-style and the music. Great job everything suits well together. I hope i did not miss anything to click on i had to laugh when i clicked on the star on the dead tree :D maybe make those things "pop" a little more somehow.

Developer

Thank you for playing our game and the feedback. We will try to make it clearer what you can interact with. I'm glad you enjoyed our game.

That was a nice little journey through Lucy's world. I like the drawing style you fashioned the world in. It kind of felt like an animated story book where you slowly soak up the pages and little stories.

Developer

Thanks for playing our game and the nice feedback.

Your game is great but very slow

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. I will speed up the players walk speed.

Thumbs up for your game! I've left a rating. Can you try my game and leave a rating too? Thanks!

Developer

Thank you for rating my game. I will try your game, rate it and leave a comment.

I'm trying to understand your reasoning behind having the main game be so slow paced, uneventful - yet a lot of descriptions when clicking around. I understand this is a point and click, but let's take the tree for examples - climbing on bench for star, wishing star, snail under the tree, the tree is dead. And nothing of value about it. You don't get to actually search for things in the main gameplay, you only collect rewards from being forced to help the npc's in the drawings.

If this game has been created as an art piece, rather than a game - it all makes sense. It makes sense how Little Lucy is drawing their escapism fantasies and how even if they keep wishing for something magical to happen, just like the tree is dead with the wishing star on it, so have her hopes whilst being in the orphanage.

Now unto more objective measures:

the game has a very slow pace. It could be more dynamic. The audio presence in this game is done well, the mechanics are basic (not much you can do about a point and click game). Even though you've chosen a grim aesthetic for lucy's reality, it is too much in contrast with the drawings. The idea behind it was good, but you need to work on the implementation of it.

Thank you for taking the time to play our game and give your feedback. We were originally planning on having more things to do in the main game, but we ran out of time. There was also supposed to be cutscenes in the main game and multiple endings for the drawings, but again we ran out of time. We are planning on expanding on the game after the jam is concluded. The game is supposed to be more on the artistic side and atmosphere heavy.  When it comes to the contrast between the main game and the drawings, it was done intentionally although it might lack a bit of context without the cutscenes.

thank you for your follow up reply. It is a game jam, we make do with what we have! seeing how difficult it is to make a game jam, i think most of these are masterpieces! Including yours!

Developer

Thanks

Nice story game. A multiple ending for each drawing would be great.

I thought there would be some clue or answer for what happened to her or the orphanage at the end. that would be cool in my opinion.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. We were planning on making multiple endings for the drawings, but didn't reach.

Very atmospheric game, on one side a bit creepy but on the other very cheerish. I really like the two very distinguished artstyles. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback.

You've got really nice music. My main concern with the game is loading time. It takes too long for my device to respond to the event. The game stuck for tens of seconds, and at first I was so confused. It turns out it was loading the event.

And the description says that it's a point-and-click game. I was confused why I couldn't walk by clicking the floor, turns out the game is partially point-and-click. Using WASD to move the player

Regarding the art style, you can still polish the real world, making it finer and finer. The crayon drawing has its own uniqueness. But what about using the same art style for the whole thing?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I will work on cutting down the loading time. When it comes to the crayon drawings we wanted to seperate them from the real world so we decided on using different art styles.
