It's a very satisfying process to just simply connect, disconnect and rotate these beautiful tiles! It's like magic. Great submission!

Not a nitpicking, more of a bug report: there is some strange blinking the moment a piece detaches from the map. I can only guess that there is a "vignette" sprite on a detached piece that becomes visible a frame too late?

Oh yes, the magic is in the details! But yes, there is a bug there, which I turned a blind eye to this because of the messiness of the code. When I rewrite it cleanly, the bug will be gone. Thank you!

Wow! Tiles fit so well, it's a fantastic job. I would be curious to check that code. Btw, water tiles would be nice, sometimes you want an island but it's so hard to keep it an island, it's always grow into bigger land.

Thank you! Unfortunately, I can’t get islands either :) This needs an edit to the generation of the chunk. Right now it’s very simple, literally 4x4 completely random nodes per chunk.

About the code, it’s messy. Well you know how it is when every time you’re faced with the question - do it right or do it fast to get something done. But I want to write a little post with code examples in Lua of how auto-tiling works here. There isn’t much magic here, but it might be interesting and useful for someone as an example with using Defold.

A very relaxing game! It felt like I was building my own little island, I especially like the effect of how the tiles connected, it always felt natural and not forced.

Great entry!

I like the sandbox approach with this one, although I typically don't like sandbox games all that much. I think between the mechanics and the music on this one it keeps me entertained! Very neat effect also. Could be nice if there was a zoom out/in also. Also  maybe some sort of picture export mode or save/load feature so you could save your creations and share or view them later.
