Overall: Everything I'd expect from a Ronald entry and even more. Fresh, engaging, and hilarious without needing a single battle. One of the highlights of the jam for me!
Gameplay: I adore the gameplay. There should be a technical feat award for hooking Harold up to a chatbot. I love how much mileage you get out of infamous Harold Jam staples such as spark, heal, and boulder puzzles. Every puzzle felt fresh and was easy to understand. I only had to use the hint book for the maze with the exploding chests. The final battle was a bit hard for me to understand, but finding out how to beat it was next level.
Music: Classic pitch-shifted RTP. The Harold Jam sound.
Comedy: I don't know where to begin. All I'm gonna say is you are on another plane. Pushing Harold and the final battle especially got me.
Graphics: RTP of course.
Story: Simple enough but I love how it's showed throughout.
Ronald that was mindbreaking! I loved it. The puzzles were so satisfying to figure out, and kind of insane in a good way. The chatbot said some pretty weird stuff, but it worked for the purposes of the game. I think talking to the monster was the hardest one to trigger the right response for, but everything else was right on and seemed to accept a decent variety of responses.
This game gave me real Harold Gets Screen Time vibes, which is a very strange vibe that only you can capture. Thanks for bringing another amazing and absolutely unique entry to the jam!
I suck at puzzle games so it's probably just me but I wasn't able to figure out some of the puzzles. Really cool concept story was also pretty good given the time constraints, was enjoyable. Default assets were a minus but also understandable. Pacing was eh, it was interesting but could have gone a little quicker, maybe having the ability to move faster would have been better. Overall was fun but I struggled to figure some things out. Would like to see aspects of this chat game incorporated in a full fledged game, cool idea!
This is one of my top favorites in terms of player experience XD Though there are some "bugs" like stuff you ask Harold for a past part, you can still ask him in later parts, which does make it quite weird and like a "bug" to me. (I played your game before I joined the jam properly, so I'm also having issues recalling exactly what =_=) So that part did confuse me a bit when I was initially stuck on something. Anyway, one of my favorites of all-time, and everything here sits well with me! :P I enjoyed this game soooooooooooo much, from beginning to end, and you nailed it for me. The kind of stuff that I'd get into!! XD
