I played this game for a while. I'm a big fan of games that merge together two separate ideas in a satisfying way. Having to focus on harvesting crops and shooting aliens felt satisfying when you got used to it. Unfortunately I gave up on trying to 100% the game after realizing the impossibility of harvesting the outer most ring of crops. Aliens can spawn far too close to the player to be considered fair, in my opinion. I think I was able to get about 63% on my best attempt. Really great submission!

Yes I don't think it is actually possible to harvest 100% of the field. 63% is a great score!

Initially, it was an intentional a design choice to have the edges of the field more difficult, so that it creates two opposing forces: To stay on the center is easier, there will be soon not enough crops on the center.

Of course, I realize that it is too hard in its current state. Probably, the enemy should spawn at least a little bit farther away, and/or the player should get access to a stronger means of defense as a reward after harvesting a significant %age of the field.

Sometimes the gap between pushing a button and the combine actually changing direction is really long, maybe the grid squares could be smaller? But this is a cool submission, nice work!

Yes I agree, smaller cells would make controls of the combine smoother.
