Nice game and good idea, although some checkpoints / life regeneration would be nice.

The sounds are fitting and the graphics look nice.

Perfect! I really enjoyed the suffering you put me trough, but I managed to finish your game and I am so proud of myself :) Awesome job, briliant game. I am thinking about making video of playing it, because it was so much fun!

This was really enjoyable. I really enjoy this retro artistic style. Even with pixel art video games, you rarely encounter it. However, I do believe that the 2d lighting somewhat detracted from the aesthetic; in my opinion, it is best to embrace the style and maintain an old-school appearance. Both characters have good control, and the foes presented a satisfying challenge. Excellent game; many thanks for sharing. If you'd like to check out my game, the URL is below.

Controls felt very sluggish and I could climb walls with a gamepad controller, but nicely done - love the music.

Thanks for playing.

In what way would you describe the controls as sluggish, and with which character?

And climbing walls are intended with one of the characters.

My problem was that I didn't see how to switch characters. Re-read the instructions ;)

This is a nice little platformer with potential, but I found it very unforgiving and wasn't able to get beyond the first 4-5 screens. The controls also took some getting used to; I wonder if they could be simplified in some way? Progressing using the unique abilities of the two characters was a nice mechanic. I like the art and music. Nice work!

This was a lot of fun. I like this retro art style a lot. You don’t see it often even in pixel art games. I do think the 2d lights kind of pulled away from the style though, it’s best to lean into the look and keep it looking old school imo. Both characters controlled pretty well and the enemies made for a good challenge. Really nice game, thanks for sharing. My game is linked below if you want to check it out.

What a lovely little game.

I love the cute design and animations! :D

But the character movement could be improved - for example: pls turn on air-control!!!

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

I've disabled air control for Crocodude on purpose, it's enabled for frogboy, it's part of the challenge.

Submitted

Perhaps you could just tone it down instead of completely disabling it?

Oh lol, i didnt even notice it was turned on for frog boy! sry than i take everything back!

The bouncy animation is cute! I was on edge because I had to take into account the time it took to swing the knife down.

Very cute game, it's a nice game with a simple but good mechanic, and holy you got a lot of inspiration from Tiny Link.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah I'm a lousy artist so the art is basically plagarism, I'm giving credit though and Tiny Link is open source so I hope it's alright.
All the code is by me though.

Sorry, maybe it is just me, I could not progress at all since I could not get used to the controls. The visuals and the idea were nice, though.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a shot! The keyboard controls might be odd because I prefer to play on gamepad so that's how I've been playing it.
