At first I thought myself, this is way to easy, then I got to the point where there where so many ghost that I had a hard time catching up. It was soo much fun, I wanted to start over and try to beat it😄 Maybe the difficulty curve could've been smoother, other then that you can be proud of what you made that is an awesome game 💛

A couple of things that would've help increase the enjoyment of this game:
- I have to restart 3-4 times until I got an enemy spawning distance/rate that allowed me to at least place something down
- I don't know the enemy's weakness so IDK if I should build barracks or magic school so I did both but still didn't get good feedback to know if I had done well
- Not sure how I can upgrade to increase the speed at which I get gems and other resources though I did build more mills and farms to expedite things at the risk of them being exposed to the enemies with no real ways to repair them
- Finally, I think a "wave system" where there's a pause for 30 seconds or maybe everything pauses, including the production of resource and but you can use this time to build and hit "start wave" when ready. Something to give me a break and time to recoup the loses/re0think the strategy
I think with those improvements this game could definitely be even more enjoyable.
Wow, really nice strategy game! making it real time, having a grid, but making units move without restrictions, wonderful!
I am going to point out a lot of thing but don't take me wrong, this game is surely one of my favorites.
1. Plz make it possible to build some walls, it would be awesome to be able to fortify my holdings
2. There are some balancing issues, I basically started to lose, and when I noticed that, I just spend all my gems and bought all the tiles (while losing) and winning the game, by just clicking all the tiles. (after playing for some time, the gem production is more than the gem need, so there is always a surpluss) I would suggest to make each new tile a little bit more expensive.
3. Everything was ok, until the sudden attack of the ghosts, the power of the baddies, with no warning at all, increased significantly, changing the whole game. I do not know if you made it that way in purpose, or not, I didn't find it disturbing tho, so no need to change it, I just wanted to point it out, that the enemy numbers suddenly increased.
4. I really loved the way the units were moving by themselves and were not restricted to move by tile to tile, it was a really nice idea, and it was enjoyable to see the battles, while in the same time developing a strong economy to support the armies.
5. It was really nice to see a boardgame-like game being in real time, nice one!
tl;dr: Wonderful and amazing game, congratulations!
Thank you for playing, I really appreciate your feedback. :)
I've updated the game, mainly on balancing the game and resource rate/distribution, largely based on your feedback. as for the wall, you can use the tower to guard your territory. but sadly, the tower has a (major) bug in the jam version, which it shoots in turn, not simultaneously :(
I am happy to hear that you found my comment helpful. If you need more feedback, I can only say that you should put the music in replay, so it doesn't suddenly stops. With walls, I meant like building who could hold the ghosts (and spiders), like cheap (probably wood based) buildings, who would stop the enemies, and make them nice target for towers. Also, probably, make the starting castle able to shoot, so it doesn't get too complicated with trying to expand away from the spiders.
This is great! The gameplay is addictive, the difficulty is well balanced and the sfx are perfect. Well done!
Wow! This game was really engaging. It took me a bit to figure out the controls... but once I did, I was on a mission haha
This is definitely one of my favorite games from the jam! Super fun to play and figuring how everything worked wasn't too hard. I love the concept of restoring color to the world and growing your empire. The UI for building would become overlapped by the UI on the right and the difficulty was so hard that I had to restart once I figured out how to play. But I had a blast playing through again and winning. I also really liked the feedback for attempting to place on an unconnected tile.
Really fun game with an awesome mix between board and RTS, but it does get quite difficult towards the end, it shifts so quickly I have a map full of my guys and then I blink and it's covered in ghost. Otherwise fantastic job! Keep it up!
Very interesting entry. was fun to play. Really great game for the short amount of time. One thing I wished for was to be able to close the overlay when clicking outside of it.
I really enjoyed this game. I had to see if it was possible to beat it
The difficulty scaling as you buy more tiles might be too much, I ended up winning by out-clicking the monsters
Overall this is a wonderful entry
