Truly excellent delivery for a Jam game. Looks great, and I dig the music. Fun to play too, though I find it tough to understand what the dice effects are doing.

Developer

Thanks! The dice effects are explained on our game page, sadly we didn't have time to explain them ingame: https://miniver-games.itch.io/die-sorcerer

Really fun game! The combat is satisfying, though very difficult at least for me. The art and music was also very nice, though I think some sound effects would've been nice. Great work :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We unfortunately didn't end up having enough time to add the sound effects

Your art is so fire! Loving all the different enemy types and the variation in dice! Rolling the dice when you miss an enemy is a really creative touch too!! Great work :))

Developer

Thank you!

I like the character’s and enemies art! I like the tileset too, but sometimes I found that walls and background merged a bit too much sometimes. The music suits the ambiance really well too.

I felt compelled to push deeper into the dungeon, but after a while I felt a bit overwhelmed by the enemies. Having a reload indicator would be a nice addition!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We will definitely have to adjust some stuff about the game

Solid game! It's quite fun and the presentation is nice!

The thing I find hard to understand is which cide have which possible effects. Knowing this more clearly would make missing them more strategic and engaging :)

Congrats on the submission!

Hello from a fellow GameMaker developer! Liked the concept of missing dice giving buffs and debuffs, although reload time seems a bit long (having a similar problem in my game, so I understand you 😅). The graphics is really nice, solid game overall.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We're aware of the problem, a lot of people have told us that

Good theme :)

 Dice reload :(

Really beautiful game. Shooting and utilizing the buffs gotten from missing was fun. I wished I could shoot more, having to wait for die and do nothing felt bad. Maybe have a way to pick up shot die and/or have direct hits auto comeback to you? Regardless, it was fun to shoot and use the different die.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We will have to adjust how much dice you get

I like the style of the artwork, there was a good variety in the enemies and the bgm was pleasant and wasn't intrusive. the miss effects are an interesting mechanic but in practice I mostly shot the bad guys if I could help it. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback!
