Really well made game very polished! I enjoyed this a lot!

One thing that jumped out at me straight away was the sound, I enjoyed rolling dice through multiple enemies to hear that satisfying dice hit sound. Upgrades are simple but effective. I liked how the number rolled on the dice added more damage or number of explosions.

I have no other feedback because the game is just good! Nice work submitting such a good game to the jam! :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Though a little disclaimer: I didn't make the sounds from scratch - only implemented them into the game. But I'm happy you found their placement satisfying! :)

It is fun. Gameplay is solid, just needs more content. Am I correct that you do damage based on what the dice roll? So a regular 6-sided is 1-6 damage?

Developer

Thank you! I actually had a lot more content planned but didn't get enough time to implement everything unfortunately (e.g. more dice, enemies, etc).

And you are correct - the damage done is based on the dice roll at least for the D6 and the D8. I definitely could have conveyed that more effectively through either damage numbers or better descriptions in the level-up menu. Something I will need to work on in the future after the jam.

Thank you for your feedback!

Very satisfying to round up all the enemies into a massive group and send bullets through all of them. Nice work with the impact visuals and sound design.

My score ended up being 11260.

The only complaint I have is that the constant popups with the level up screen every 2 seconds with pausing gameplay is quite annoying. I'd rather have selected all my upgrades at the end of the round, not midgame.

Thank you! I will definitely look into improving the level up system to make it less disruptive. I do like the idea of making the game round-based instead of just relying on exp to determine when to bring up the level up screen. - something I will have to play around with to find the best player experience.

Very fun little game, had lots of fun herding around the enemies and blasting them to bits! I was a little unsure what each dice did and having the game full stop to open the menu when I leveled up was a bit jarring, but overall I had a pretty fun time

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I'll definitely look into the level up menu and how best to bring it up without breaking the flow of the game. I probably could have also made my dice descriptions a little more informative but my brain was almost fried when I was writing them at the time XD
