Good job on your game! I like the models and background sounds that come up. I would love for there to be music, and one welcome addition might be the ability to jump, including over fences!
Great job on the jam.

hi, thank you for playing my game. There are 2 gates in the fences on the front edge which open if you bark at them. Unfortunately I didn't do a very good job of signposting this in game. The 2 gardens have  simple tasks to complete which give you the final 2 bones needed to complete the game. The open gate and initial over head view of the level hint at them but it needs some further clues as well I think. I was aiming for a gradually unlocking level and so not having jump was a design choice.

Yeah I see what you were aiming for! I actually did find the gates to the yards after opening the main gate - I felt it took a bit long to walk around to that area when I needed to - this is an area where I got a LOT of feedback about in my own game: the speed of player movement relative to where you need to travel in the level. I can see why you would not implement a jump-over-the-fence mechanic just based on what you goal was though. I would say a welcome modification would be to increase the run speed, or some other type of mechanic that allows the player to move to those areas in a quicker manner. Again great job on your entry!

The game looks really nice, and the concept is fun. I wish there was some background music, though.

An issue I was having was getting camera control. It seemed to either move too fast, or not follow at all the direction I wanted it to. Also, I noticed the dog's mesh clips with objects it walks into, so you might want to have a look at the sprite boxing.

Developer

hi, thank you playing my game and  the feedback, I noticed some issues with the houses but thought I had fixed them, the camera seems to be the main issue people are having, all good feedback for next time :)

Nice submission. I know you said that this game is best played with a controller in your description but I don't have one so I had to use mouse and keyboard and the camera was very shaky. But the concept of your game is great and the 3d models looked good too. Overall great game well done!

great idea, but I did have a problem with the camera moving around with the mouse and the movement caused some confusion due to the camera movement.

I liked the idea, but was unable to pick up any bones. Some animation and a camera controller that didn't jump around so much would have made it more fun.

Fab Idea,  a bone counter to let us know how many we need to find would be good.  loved the concept and the graphics.  well done.

Great job! I like the aesthetic and playing as the dog bringing back bones was a cute idea. Like others had mention, I had difficulty controlling the cam using the browser. I like the bark button.

Fun idea! I was having trouble sometimes picking some of the bones.  Not sure if you used colliders for picking up, but maybe a larger radius would help.  Anyway it was fun chasing around the rats  and my dog kept looking at me when I pressed the bark button :D

Hi, I was meaning to do a tweaking run and adjust things but didn’t do it in the submitted version.  If I do another build I’ll include your suggestion. Thank you for the feedback.

Game was interesting. Although, the camera movement felt off. Wasn’t really sure the point of the trick.

Developer

hi, my original idea was to use the trick in certain locations to complete a task, similar to some of the tasks in untitled goose game. Unfortunately I only used the bark to scare of the rats and open the 2 gates into the back gardens. After the  2 gardens  I was going to have another task where you got a bone if you did a trick for someone. I did the animation but didn’t include the task in the submitted version.

Interesting game.

Camera was hard to operate and rotated the opposite direction of what I expected.

I had flying rats for some reason as well, not sure if that was intended, but it was funny!

Having the dog run a bit faster would've made the game even more fun.

I like the barking and trick, but the game didn't explain how they were to be used to progress to the goal.

hi, thank you for the feedback, I think I need to revise the in game text , the idea was that you returned the bones to the grave, once you returned some the gate opens which allows you out to find 2 other things to do which give you some more of the bones to return. But not sure this comes over very well in the current text. This was the first time I had used unity’s cinemachine to do the camera and it needs tweaking /further experimentation to get it more controllable I think.

Nice work - the camera didn't work well for me in the browser but other than that I enjoyed playing :) Great job!
