I liked the story, and the distance to the soul was an awesome addition, perhaps an arrow as well might be a nice touch. Also some way to find you way back would be helpful.
Thanks, The Soul distance was a late but needed addition. Had thought about an arrow, but decided the demons are a bit slow, and the only way to give them a chance was if you got a wee bit lost or stuck.
