I don't know what kind of crazy world we're in, or if there are even dogs here. But we'll need a loyal animal companion by our side. If we ever encounter a friendly creature, we'll have this home ready for it.

This grassy area to the west of our home looks like a nice place to put it. I'm starting construction!

A dog / creature / * house sounds nice to have around.  I'm not sure how big of a dog we want in here but I'm just gonna start nailing in boards.

I hope we chance upon a cat instead! 

A ferocious cat would be great too! We should make sure our "doghouse" can support any kind of animal.

if we get ourselves a lovely dog or pig to sniff out food sources that'd solve some problems... or maybe a cat to bring us its conquests some of which might be edible

i'll try and arrange some of the softest looking debris into a lovely pet bed

The runes creep me out, and I have no ideas for food, so I'm sticking to what I know: doghouse buliding. At least we're putting this rubble to some use.

I use some stone to build a make-shift water bowl for our future creature. When filled, it will be good for drinking from (or living in, if it's an aquatic creature).

I sure hope we find a creature companion soon! I envision an egalitarian "doghouse" that accepts all species - big or small, dry or moist!

Now, here's a problem. I went to scout out the location for the dog house today, and… I don't quite know how to say this.

There's nothing there.

I don't mean there's just a patch of grass or whatever – that'd be great. Space for the doghouse. I mean that there's literally nothing there. There's no ground. There's no sky. There's no existence. It's… It's off the edge of the world. This location we call [1W] does not seem to exist in our dimension – there's [2E], there's [1E], there's [HOME], and then nothingness.

I'd sure like to see a doghouse floating in this void, though, perhaps inhabited by an extradimensional Fido. I can't quite fathom what it'll look like when it's done, but hey! Let's shoot for otherworldliness.

There, I've hammered a big stake in not too far from the edge of the world. If we anchor the doghouse to that, it shouldn't drift away.

Oh! It looks pretty good floating out there, actually! I'm sure our eventual pet will enjoy the zero-gravity leap into and out of the front door, too.

I made some fun shaped dried mushroom pellets. I hope the doggies like 'em. I hope they like the fact that they are being thrown at then with a makeshift trebuchet even more.

The doghouse is off the edge of known space: it is there, but unseen. You can always visit though, and perhaps its inhabitant will come for a visit now and then...
