Very basic game, this was. A greater variety of obstacles to test timing would help add variety.

Maybe the "Lives" theme could be expanded on more so that say, every life lost swaps out a random piece of the level for something else. I feel it would have been a better alternative to the very stringent timer that runs down even when I have eight lives left to lose. Controls could also have been more snappy and less lurchy imo; one tap was enough to make the cat take a whole step off of the side of the pipe and lose a life.

Really nice job! Considering this was done solo I think you covered all the bases very well! I found turning to be a little stiff and I think pulling the camera back a touch would've added to the impression of how high you were. I liked the 3rd person pov as opposed to top down, which I feel like I could see as a default for a game like this- good decision there! It was also very entertaining anytime the cat fell (which was often for me haha). Congrats!

Neat little game! Nice choice of assets.

Could benefit from more variety. Once the main lesson of "take it slowly, but not too slowly" was taught, there wasn't much left to explore with the mechanics. Maybe add a narrative where the pipe you choose changes the branch of the story you're on. Maybe have the cat walk past windows with things inside.

It was an interesting experience. Mostly highlighting my lack a patience. The time element kept the tension high. I would have liked better contact detection, I was luckily hovering in the air at times and then other times I slipped off in a punishing way. I think I would have liked a higher turn speed for my Cat too. Always clever to feature a Cat! The nine lives of a Cat was a good use of the theme, simple but neat. Good job.

A cute game, well put together. Like those puzzled where you bring a ring of metal around a track without touching the edge. The controls were a bit funky, not good, not bad, and the hitbox on the track seemed to be biased towards one side more than the other (might just have been the camera). Personally I liked the inclusion of a timer, made the game more tense in a good way. Is losing all nine lives supposed to do something? as it just respawned me in the same level with full lives. Overall I enjoyed the game, though

Hey! You commented and rated my game Salvage. It was removed due to reasons, but now it's back up! If you don't mind, could you comment and rate it again?

A solid attempt for a solo dev entry; you must maneuver a kitten across precarious pipes to make it the fish at the end of each level. The challenge is carefully moving and snaking across the pipes while maintaining you balance, otherwise you fall and must restart from the checkpoint. Easy to grasp.

It could use some QoL features such as a retry button and visible checkpoint markers to make the experience smoother.  As for the gameplay, it can be a little repetitive and shallow, but as this was created by one person, I understand it can be difficult to achieve in short time. Good work!

Excellently playable game, for a solo dev. Especially on WebGL.

It being fun, however, is another thing. As much as couldn't help but feel though the use is tangibly related, it could have possibly been more linked to the theme, if possible on "every life counts". Past that, biggest grip is time pressure not relenting, if even a single life is lost. That can lead to a spiral of losing all lives at least, under deadline rush. Dunno if that's intentional or not, but it made the game less 'fun' on a fair lens.

Also, tank controls plays horrible, in manuveuring around the game itself, gameplay flow wise.

Thank you for playing and your feedback!
I had wanted the timer to be the push to create pressure and create that rush. If you lose a life and respawn at the beginning, that gives you less time to finish that level. Sorry that didn't come across as fun though. Good to know!

Thanks for sharing it in WebGL. The game is quite simple but it is fun indeed. The lights on the flats turning on and off is a nice touch and the music was a good choice.

I found the fact that the cat moves much faster forward than it turns a bit unintuitive, but in the end the game is quite engaging so I kept trying on and on, and the checkpoints are a really good idea.

Nice job for only one person!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the lights and music (that tune is definitely stuck in my head now).
That's a really good point about the difference in speed - I'll definitely take that into account.

The game is pretty simple and I liked the models.

At first I found strange when the WebGL didn't start, then I read below xD

Thank you!

The game's pretty good, especially liked the models and UI. There were some bugs though, such as- the animation's were kinda glitchy, and the time's laggy. But overall it's good. If you don't mind, can you check out my game?

Developer

Thank you for checking out the game - I'm sorry if the time was lagging. I'll take a look and see what might be happening.
Thank you for your feedback.
