Very creative idea, it's great that you were able to do this in such a short time frame! Bonus points for the glados voice, it was very fun :)

Nice game, really cool idea. Thanks for the positive rating on my game

Submitted(+1)

what a really brilliant idea regarding the theme :-) I liked that!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you liked our take on the theme :) We tried to be innovative

Submitted(+1)

I like the name of the game!

Developer

Thank you, we had a really good time on the 20th, brainstorming on the widest spectrum of ideas and when this one came up we had the name right afterwards, and it really stuck :)

I loved it: this one's one of my favourites of this jam. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, it's so awesome to read this! :)

There are no words for this. 10/10 for the voice synthesis alone. Bravo!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words, it's awesome that you liked it! :)

Really good idea for the theme. I think your 'player' is trying to tell us all something hmmmm (suspision +10)...lol jk

The smoothness of the game was pretty nice and the audio is pretty good. I think better lighting/effects could have gone a long way. Here is a good video on it.

Great job on having a tutorial.

Developer(+1)

Yep, Bradley is definitely sus... Also, thank you for your feedback and the lighting / post-processing tutorial, I'll definitely check that out because there is a lot to space to improve these aspects of our development process.

I'm also glad you liked the tutorial, it was my very first attempt at doing such a thing. I'm afraid it got a tad too long but it's good to know that it was still enjoyable :)

Very simple yet very fun game, i love the sarcastic dialogues and the portal voice cought my attention as i love portal. If this game is refined it could be a cool mobile game!.

Also one thing that i noticed is that the UI doesnt scale correctly when in full screen (i have an ultra wide so that could be the problem) and i was forced to play in small screen to see the entire UI.

All in all its a fun concept and i enjoyed listening to the dialogues and seeing how long i can last!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing it and also for your feedback! :)

The UI is probably the weakest point in our game, if I had to name one takeaway from the jam, it would be to improve our capacity for making our own 2D art and creating good-looking, responsive and informative UI. The two side-menus were the last things we worked on, not having much time left and I think it really shows. We realized it falls apart on ultra-wide in the last minutes and did not have the time to fix it, so we just added a note on the game profile page.

PS: Portal FTW

I really loved this one! 14 minutes is my high score!

Loved the gameplay, really fun concept and it definitely has an addictive quality to it (in a good way). Loved the voice lines, and really loved how goofy it was!

I felt like the UI was a bit less visually responsive than it could be, and that adds a lot to the difficulty without really adding much to the player's enjoyment. Would love to see the next room's name light up maybe after the voice line, and maybe see the desired objects under that room get some kind of check mark.

I ran into an issue where the objects a room wanted would change without my notice after I had already added them to the room. Maybe an audio cue would help?

Overall I really think this is an awesome game and an awesome idea! 5/5 for the fun factor for sure!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing the game and for your feedback! 14 minutes is a nice score, our team high score is 15:30 :)

UI and giving feedback on what's happening in the game to the player is definitely something to improve upon, we will probably revisit it and release a new version after the jam, with the question of how much time and energy we spend on it really depending on how it performed.

Submitted(+1)

Awesome! I'll keep on the lookout for that full release :D

Unique and very funny!

Developer

Thank you! :)

Hahahahaha I loved that ! The voice acting is just on point, the lines were hilarious xD ! The gameplay itself was really original and fun, the tutorial explains the mechanics very well and the game fits the theme perfectly.

The gameplay loop is clear and enjoyable, but the UI was a bit messy. Finding the room in the left list was sometimes a bit hard, I would have prefered if the required items icons were in the room itself (like under the room's name, for exemple, or at the center of the room), instead of in a list.  The "inventory" list was also a messy : how about grouping by categories (like putting "toilets", "sink" and "bathtub" on the same line, "chair", "armchair" and "sofa" on another line, "bed", "king size bed" and "cushion" on another, etc... You got the idea) and maybe with some light background color for each line (blue for the water stuff, etc...).

I can imagine more levels, with an increasing number of rooms and multiple people in the same house, that would be amazing ! There is a lot on potential in this ^^. Congratulations !

Developer

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed playing it. :)

The UI is definitely something we could and probably will improve, the lack of a dedicated and experienced artist on the team really shows in these cases. The order of items did not follow much logic (it's actually the order we added them in game) and it makes it harder to find things. I can imagine this as a difficulty setting: at low difficulty, everything is placed in a thematical layout (like you suggested) but and higher difficulty, it could be random or even change over the game.

We have many ideas we had to cut because of our limited scope, but after the jam ends, we'll take a good look at it and based on how it performed, we'll polish it some more or maybe even add some new features and levels. We'll also keep posted those who were interested.

Loved the dialogue. It was pretty funny. Fun game also and creative. This matches the theme very well!

Developer

Thank you so much, I'm especially glad you enjoyed the dialogues. :)

Submitted(+2)

Great game! The idea is really fun and intersesting. Learning bot audio is super. Thank you for your game!

Developer

Thank you, the AI GLADoS voice already set me on the path to write the right dialogue for the tutorial. Thank you for playing it and also for giving feedback :)

Submitted(+2)

Really fun and unique idea. I really enjoyed. The HUD was a bit scary at first but the tutorial really cleared that out. Love it!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the game. The HUD could definitely use some more polishing (maybe we will revisit after the jam), but I'm glad the tutorial was helpful! :)

i like the idea of it being a simulation, also enjoyed the glados voice and the guys voice

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Voiceovers were created with 15.ai, an amazing tool.

Submitted(+2)

I really like this game it is so well thought and so funny!

My score is 11:23 I don't know if this is good ^^

Very very good job ! :D

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! 11:23 is actually good, it beats my personal best at least :) The team's current high score is held by breitiadam, at 15:30.

Love it! what a great concept, reminds me of mechanical turk (artificial artificial intelligence, anyone?) Dialogs are funny, Bradley's voice is just perfect, gameplay is good.

Awesome that you put a tutorial, that made a huge difference for me.

Developer(+1)

Funny you should say that, because the Mechanical Turk was invented by a Hungarian, and we are also from Hungary :)

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you liked the game. I was a bit nervous about the tutorial being too long, so it's good to hear you found it useful.

Submitted(+2)

Great idea, really well executed.

Developer

Thank you! :)

Submitted(+3)

I really like the audio, eve though you didn't make it, you added it well. Good job. :)

Developer(+2)

We actually did some recordings ourselves and tried to use that, but the robotic-AI-ish voice just felt like a better fit to the game. Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Even better! Great job. :)

Submitted(+3)

Wow, this is really good with the concept the voicing and the 3D art and the pathfinding for Bradley!

Developer(+2)

Thanks for the feedback! :) The voice seems to be really hitting home for many of you guys. Bradley will start to think about a singing career.

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Yeah, the voice just seems to add another layer of realism and imersiveness into the game! I would love to see this expanded upon after the jam!
