Wooo I beat it! 5:42 and 66 shots, only had to use the rewind twice, very happy with that! Absolutely love the concept, and I think you pulled it off really well in 2D and it gives it a unique look since it's pseudo 3D which I like. Awesome music choice as well. My only minor gripe is I sometimes assume that my next shot will maintain the same angle as the previous one and get into some trouble because of it. If you make this 3D I hope you keep the nice solid shading you got going on here, this looks great!

good one.  I got to hole 8 before stopping.  this game has a gentler curve than some of the other entries which is a positive thing.  the falling is properly frustrating and you see it coming which is nice.  the perspective is a little wonky and confusing (hitting a ball straight horizontal at a wall makes it bounce down) but it's not too major a problem though it makes ramps tricky.

I almost beat it, but couldn't beat floor 8 :P I agree with some of the comments mentioning the wanting of a sound slider and being able to move the putter with your mouse would be a nice to have, but not a requirement. I love the OST choice and am impressed that you were able to make this type of game in 2D! Great job :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedbacks! Are you using all your rewinds before Level 8 ?
I underestimated the work needed to translate my 3D ideas in 2D. It was much more difficult to handle the physics, but I learned a lot during the process and that's why we're doing game jams!

I appreciate the feedbacks about the music and the mouse controls. I'll try to update it in the near future if I have time (or I'll do a new version in 3D, I don't know yet!)

Found a bug! It reset to aiming as soon as the ball hit the spinning thing.

Developer

Thanks! I think I understand what's happening here. I'll fix it in an update if I revisit the game

Nice idea, it works really well with the theme! I would've maybe preferred to control with mouse, or at least change the angle a bit quicker. It's also kinda hard to tell the right angle because of the camera angle, but overall a smart little game with a nice aesthetic. The music is lovely too!

Developer(+1)

Totally agree with your mouse feedback. I wanted to experiment with mouse controls but scratched it due to time constraints and lack of experience with it. With that, it would be easier to aim for sure! Maybe in a future update if I revisit this game in the future
Thank you for your comment, and thanks for playing, I appreciate :)

Very clean and sleek design - nicely done. Mechanics feel really precise!

Developer

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate!

I liked the game design and the look of it, the music also ties everything together really nicely. All in all great work. :D

Developer

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I'm glad the music works with the game. I was skeptical of what players would think of the piano/smooth OST.

So foddian! Great Work!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed

I knew there would be a golf game. There must always be a golf game. Nice job with the colliders everything is very accurate. and well placed.

Developer

Thanks!!
Like I said in another comment, my initial thought was to make a 3D game with the same idea (skyscraper + falling through holes), but my lack of experience with 3D was too much of a risk if I wanted to have a final game.
One day I'll redo this game and concept but in 3D, I think the experience will be a lot better !
Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback

I like this game. The music is great, it looks great, and it's a unique concept too! My only gripe is that the controls to change the angle were inverted, it was hard to get used to. Either way, it's a fun game!

Developer

Oh yeah, now I see it.
The controls follow the stick, not the arrow. But I think it would be better to follow the arrow instead. I never noticed that and I got really used to it. Thank you for the feedback, I agree that it would be better this way

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed

I did enjoy your game, it's so much fun! Your welcome for the feedback.

The game is good. I even fell from level 4 to level 2 a couple of times. It's very addictive. I didn't like that the music was too loud for me, so I would like to see the possibility of regulating it

Developer

Noted !
Thank you for playing and giving the feedback!

ps. don't forget you can press "R" to rewind and undo the last shot. You can do that 3 times during a game and It can help with progression!

Real nice presentation. Some technical problems that are extra toxic in a foddian, but I totally get how mixing 3d and 2d concepts can be tough! I could nitpick, but I my biggest sticking point is that it's pretty hard to read.  Great job!

Developer

Indeed. My initial thought was to make it in 3D but my lack of experience with the engine scared me.
I'd like to know more about the other problems that are extra toxic if you want to give more details, so that I can learn and improve!

Thank you for playing and thanks for the feedback!

You did great! Just wanna emphasize that. I like to try to offer useful criticism but you can't forget how much of an achievement it is to create something like this in a short time like that. It's not that any of the problems (ie: the windmill interaction with the ball) are particularly bad, it's just that the foddian design exasperates any issues that are there.

Developer

No worries. I'm just trying to pinpoint the things I can improve to make for a better experience, that's all :)
Thanks for taking the time to play and review the game, I appreciate your feedbacks

A unique idea that's executed well! Nice job!!

Really neat twist to make the game more Foddian. As someone who didn't read the instructions at first, I was initially confused at what made it different

Developer

Totally ! The game is quite simple but there are a couple of specific things to know beforehand.
Thank you for playing, thanks for the feedback !

Nice 'Foddian' idea to make the ball fall through the floors. This could be a great full game. I could see it really taking off with the streamer crowd.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback
I might expand that to a bigger game someday (maybe in 3D instead of 2D?)   I'm glad you enjoyed

Yeah definitely 3D would be better for the whole falling down levels. It could be like a race between players.
