This is a sleeper pick, I think with more user friendly controls, a shorthop, and a longer well paced map with more mechanics that compliment the ball bouncing and jumping mechanic this could be a triple A Foddian game. Please watch my VOD or youtube video when it drops because we came up with a lot of ideas and got really excited about the potential that this game has. Also the story is really cool. Scrap ludwig as the king on full release and maybe add in some NPC's like in jump king that could give u some story world building and it would be hella interesting to see where this goes. 10/10 (I beat the game btw)
I liked the game. It was fun when I got stuck between 2 thorns and flew back and forth between them. The sound effects are very funny, peculiar.
What an awesome submission - lovely artwork. I agree with some of the comments about limited mobility in air making it a bit too difficult but its still a pretty amazing game.

The game feels good and is funto play, however I think it would be more fun if u had a little bit better mobility in the air. Other then that the game is amazing the atmospher it creates is great and the art gives me a bit of a Hollow knight vibe. Very fun game. :D
So awesome, love the art, and it feels tough but fair! Also it's funny when you get bounced off the spikes like 100 times.
The mood and atmosphere of this game are great and I love all the pixel art! The mechanics are very interesting, but I think this game is already hard enough and can do without the low controlability in the air lol but when you land those mushroom ball jumps it's so satisfying!
Fungal Cave is an incredible game with very challenging movement mechanic. It has a solid visual style and solid level design; mistakes are entirely the player's fault: very much a foddy. My only criticism can be overcome with a bit of getting used to; I feel like movement with the arrow keys also dictating the mushroom ball can clutter and confuse me, but again, if I got used to it I would be ballin'. I really like this game!

I like the idea, it was fun to play. Found myself grappling with the controls. Might work better with a gamepad. Would like to play it again if you ever decide to continue it.

Really really liked the presentation. Could use some work on the level design I feel like, bc the first mushroom ball jumps are really really hard. I might come back to this game after Im done rating stuff for the jam tho, good job :D

You have to jump up, throw the mushroom ball beneath you (press x) then jump off the mushroom again to get to the platform above. Thanks for playing tho :)

The overall mood and tone of the game is pretty incredible. The game is hard but fair. Honestly solid job on this. Games like this always remind me how skilled some game devs are.

I can get to the 2nd screen pretty quickly now after many tries! I figured out that if you hold the opposite direction while in the air, you can slow down your jump (it helps a LOT)!! It makes for a satisfying experience
