I will be making an itch.io and steam page for it sometime. Just have to come up with a title... Development is active. Speaking generally, it is a survival game.

Sure thing, I'll look into it. To be clear, you'd want the shooting mapped to like the directional keys?? That way you can program the joystick to them?

I will be posting an updated version soon. New weapons, enemies, and a brand new 'powerup' system that helps make the game a bit easier.

As of now there are 4 difficulty 'loops', but that's all for now. It just gets a little harder 4 times. Eventually it will be more in depth, like different bosses for each loop. The way enemies spawn now can get pretty hectic, my advice is to buy all the bombs and use them for when you are pretty much cornered. Also the soda machine can be helpful in the later waves.

Yeah definitely 3D would be better for the whole falling down levels. It could be like a race between players.

Man this one is tough! Goes to show how good simple pixel art can look if done right.

Out of all the games I rated, this is the one I returned to purely for fun. That says a lot.

Really great idea, I found the second screen to be super hard to get past, but I guess that's the point. I would probably pay money for a full fledged game like this.

Foddian fits perfectly with pinball, so that was a nice idea.

Quite impressive looking for the time available. Neat mechanic, though I am not very good at it lol...

I like the idea, it was fun to play. Found myself grappling with the controls. Might work better with a gamepad. Would like to play it again if you ever decide to continue it.

Made it to 12% first attempt before falling to my doom. This one definitely fits the theme!  X_X

Nice 'Foddian' idea to make the ball fall through the floors. This could be a great full game. I could see it really taking off with the streamer crowd.

...Might seem like an obvious question but should i upload the game to itch.io and make it public now, or just to github?

I have a whole mechanic planned where you plug a Game Genie/Gameshark into the arcade to input codes. It's gonna be crazy.

The stuff you buy is just added to the machines automatically. Whatever you buy now has a random chance of being in the vending machine or the crane game. I should probably make that clearer.

Except the "gear", which will appear in the bedroom and you can equip before a run. Also there is some special items, like the coin jar which also appears in the room.

Fixed, thanks.

KILL THE ARCADE, twin-stick shooter in a fully functioning arcade that goes berserk. Demo is whole game so far!

The game is probably way too hard, and might have some bugs. I have not done any playtesting for it, so you can be one of the first person to play it right now.

I am dropping the exported image into Game Maker Studio 2 if that makes a difference. Anyways I tried just using a spritesheet PNG export and that worked fine for me.

The ensuing animation looks all like stuttering, not smooth. Like there are extra frames that throw the animation off and make it look bad. I am trying for a looping animation of fire.  Is there some settings I do not know about?

Thanks.

Iridescence is a top down shooter built with a watercolor aesthetic and a challenging chaining system. The final game will be 5 complete levels, and 30 challenge levels. I took inspiration from Treasure shooters, especially Ikaruga with it's polarity switching mechanic.

The demo contains the 1st level and the first 5 challenge levels. This is the first time I am having anyone play the game so if you experience any glitches or bugs you can inform me here.

Pretty cool, could see it being a great full fledged game.

It'd be neat if restoring the plants had an effect on gameplay. Such as... it makes vines that you can climb, or it opens up a secret area, stuff like that.
