In what way does your game fit the theme?
It is chaotic, a lot of things are happening, screen shaking, rotations, color changings and a lot more!

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I wrote all of the code by myself, and all assets are made by me from scratch, except music, which was made by my friend!

I would like to try it again when it has some better balancing.

Hallucination phase doesn't seem good for the game - it just hurts eyes.

I'd suggest to approach level-design the "Geometry Dash" way and make first couple of levels without direction switching, then some levels with only left-right switching and only then, possibly (not sure about that) some with up-down switching.

Really nice concept.
Sadly I suck too much, my brain has like no time to react when you reverse the direction and the controls at the same time.

Developer

Don't worry a lot of people have a problem with that, in the newest update I made things a little easier B). Thanks for playing!

I think the concept is pretty unique and its quite chaotic, as the flip caught me way off-guard! The visuals are simple but clean and the game is quite fun to play. I think if the difficulty was adjusted like what the other commenters have been saying, I think the game could be even better. Good work!

Developer

Thanks! I'll work on that after the jam B)

Neat idea. Had fun to play, caught me off guard in the first attempt and figuring out what to press was chaotic even if it had only two buttons for control. Sometimes when it switched direction when I was mid air killed me and I couldn't do anything which felt unfair, but apart from that loved playing it.

It's really cool idea to reverse the map. Simple graphic but very fun. I really enjoyed it :D

The game is very well designed it is a chaotic

The game is very well designed, both from a gameplay and technical perspective (audio, graphics, etc. are all great)... however I personally found it to be a bit too hard for my liking. I played for 10-15 minutes and still wasn't able to clear the first level (yes I realize I'm not the best at this). I reflected for quite a bit as to why this was happening, and here's what I got- I think the transition from normal mode to upside-down having zero warning is detrimental to the fun of the game. It would make it much easier (and less frustrating) if I was able to anticipate when it's going to flip, by, say, a timer outlining when exactly the levels are going to go upside-down. Another piece of critique is that while it was a good experience overall, I have a hard time seeing how the game aligns with the theme of chaos. Critique aside though, there's a lot to like about the game- I loved the way each level was completely procedurally generated, making every playthrough unique. Overall, good job! P.S I'm here from the rate for rate, so don't forgot to rate and leave some feedback for mine as well! Have fun :D

Developer

Wow, thank you for such good feedback! I realized that the transition from normal to upside down is a bit confusing for everyone, and I made a new version, which you can download in description of my game, cause I cannot update it at the moment. In this new version I made sure that the transition effect was clear enough!

I really liked this game, it was quite difficult to get a hang of, but became quite fun when I did. There are good controls (even if I wished I could have used w and s, and not just the arrow keys) and the mechanic allow you to avoid obstacles but make it pretty hard. The "chaos mode" really puts you on edge, it's not that big of a change that you can't adjust to but on the first couple of tries you wouldn't know how to deal with it. The visuals are simple but they work for the game, and the music and sounds are pretty good as well. I was a bit confused that there was only 1 level I was able to play, which made it get repetitive after not that long. Also, I would have made the "chaos mode" (maybe even all of the mechanics) explained to the player as I think it will turn a lot of new people off the game. Pretty good game all across the board.

Good job on the game! The simplicity of this game was really nice, and the reversals definitely kept me on my toes but I wish the game started off slow and slowly got faster the longer time goes on to ease the player into the reversals.

Cool idea, But I had problems playing it, This game relies on fast reaction, but I did not know how to react when the shift happened, and I would just die constantly, maybe giving more reaction time to learn what happened, or even making a tutorial explaining it before ahead would make it better.

Developer

Thanks! It is more of a game when you die you learn, and this learning experience can help you overcome the level.

Submitted(+1)

I understand but consider the fact that the time that you have to learn between the shift and the upcoming obstacle is usually less than a second, there's basically no time to even understand what happened.

Underrated game, but i loved it so much

Developer

Thanks B)

Great concept! I really like the menu and game aesthetic, although for me surviving the changes was hard... I think a smother learning curve is better to keep the player engaged, also the sound design was really nice!

Keep making games

Developer

Thank you! After the jam I'll change up some things to make the learning curve smoother!

What a crazy experience it was, definitely, there was chaos!

I've played and rated your game mate, if you can do the same I would be delighted

Thanks! I'll definitely check out your game.

This is definitely underrated! Thought it's just a normal google no network game, but it's not. Took me so many try to get to level 2. It's harder than I expected.

one small suggestion is to show the timing when everything reverses. It's too difficult to react when the level going fast..

Developer

Thanks for review! A lot of users complained about reaction time when everything reverses, so I made a new update that probably fixes it, you can download it on game page B).

Hey!  Played and rated.  Simple but great fun.  I love the rewind feature where the controls get flipped.  Well done for completing the jam!

The graphics very simple, poor even, but you made it to be a good thing, the camera and speciall effects did the trick, good job!

The gameplay also very good, the reverse mode tricky but i was able to overcome it.

But the level unlock times too high:( I wasn't able to unlock the second level, and I really wanted, because the level select menu was beautiful...

An advice, from my experiences in this jam - make the game VERY EASY, at least the game jam edition. People don't have enough time to polish their skill because they have to rate many games.

Oh, and the sounds really made the controls feel responsive - good job!

Otherwise, a simple but effective idea. It was fun to play!

Developer(+1)

If you wanna try next levels, when you click Ctrl in menu and in settings you can turn on/off ARCADE MODE. This mode unlocks every level in game ;). Thanks for the advice, it was my first jam so I am experimenting a bit. Thank you for playing!

It reminds me of geometry dash. I like the beat when you jump and it was very challenging when you turn upside down but still a great game. Rated!

If you have time check out my game.

Developer

Thanks!

Simple yet fun! Enjoyed it :)

good concept. I just wished it wasn't so difficult right away. like, the curve of difficulty increase to fast.

But great idea. the mechanics work perfectly

Developer

Thanks! I'm sorry for that but only one week was too short for me to optimize everything. After resting I'll try to change some things!
