Maybe i'm just stupid but i tried and tried and could not even get through the first level ;( I could not interact after opening both doors and if i walked only with one character i would fail. I could not interact with the locker with the bottom character, if i held down up or down arrow i could walk with one character but it would still result in a lose? im so confused.

Developer

You press up to enter the locker with the bottom character. To exit the locker, the top character needs to be in the same place as the bottom character and you press down to exit the locker and continue.

this might be a bug but i did not get hit by the enemy i did not get to enter the locker and when pressing down or up and left or right arrow keys the game seems to be strange all movement stops and you can walk with one character only. That is how i managed to get through the level, the bottom character never passed the enemy ;s

Developer

That's definitely a bug. You're not supposed to be able to continue without both characters.

no problem i wil try again ,will not rate based on bugs. Props for doing it alone!

Developer

I just tested what you were saying. Just don't hold up or down while moving and it will work.

So after all the struggles i had i guess i''m just to impatient. It is definitely much more original than two character same control scheme i have seen so many of this jam. Sorry for butchering your game with my adhd :P and again props for doing it alone it has some really great puzzle mechanics!

Interesting idea and well executed imo! I think it's pretty cool that you made this with JS as well :) If I had to give criticism I'd say I found it a bit awkward using arrow keys rather than WASD.

Developer(+1)

I get the awkwardness with using arrow keys. If I had taken a bit more time, I probably could have found a plugin for WASD, but RPG Maker's only built in movement controls use arrows, so I rolled with what I had. Thank you for the kind words.

Nice concept, with a cool art style :)

I liked the puzzles; I did find the controls a little unresponsive, but nothing I couldn’t work around- 48 hours is not a very long time to make a game :)

Developer

Thank you :) As long as the art and puzzles shined, I'm happy - that's where a lot of the time went.

It's incredible that you were able to make a functional game in two days using nothing but WEBKIT, however it means there was some unfortunate sacrifices made.

Developer

I actually used RPG Maker. Sacrifices are made using this engine, but that's why I like to use it. I have to work with less.

Oh, I had no idea that RPG Maker has node backends. Fascinating.

Thank you.

The idea of Jule & Verne as character name caught my attention since I love Jules Vernes French novelist. Great puzzle and fun to handle the twins. Good game !

Developer

Thank you. I'm glad you got the nod with the character names.

Good concept, you came up with some good puzzles too. I like the art style!

The controls feel a bit slow but not a big issue.

Congrats on submitting!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I agree with you on the controls. It was a pain to get them to work in their current state.
