This is a really inventive idea that plays with the theme, and I loved the menu art (which I understand was done in two hours?!). I'm sure there are lots of gameplay feedback you already know (you mentioned when you sent it to me that it was your first time doing physics-based gameplay, so you know this already) but I also wanted to suggest not having the door at the end. You've killed the cultists, so it doesn't feel like a challenge to get to a door. It ends up being busy work. But, to reiterate, a wonderful game.
The graphics are really good. This is one of the best looking games I've seen in this jam. But the gameplay has some issues.
I was not sure what exactly to do when I started out. Maybe an interactive tutorial would solve the issue. And placing spikes in spots you cannot see makes it so much difficult to understand the game. If the camera rotated to face the player's direction, that would be better.
This game was different and weird(in a good way) compared to the others. For a game made in 48 hours, this is very good. Nice work.
Thank you for the feedback! It's our first game so we kinda got hit by a lot of issues related to constraints + physics. Mostly been on that and had to scrap a boss fight.
As for the goal- it should say right on top of the screen what to do + game description. The spikes placement is deliberate so players would go around and look for them (The first level is straightforward with no obscuring objects).
Btw, if you pop out of the circle during the playthrough, we have a failsafe where you touch the spikes with demon and the circle reappears.
What cute art you have, I like the flair of the chanting voices, hehehe. I somehow managed to charge myself out of the bounds if the level on levels 2 & 3, I think? So, I cheesed my way through flying on the outside to get to the spikes quicker xD
I like that I could get the camera up close, it allowed to get a close-up view of the art, which I really like! Congrats on your game! (: If you could, rate our game as well.

The art style is great! Took me a while to understand the camera could rotate, somehow I had to right click once first. I couldn't get past level 3 however, as the circle of cultist always seem to be too big for the last remaining 2 sets of spikes.
I even managed to get out of the circle at some point :D
