The concept is cool, but it wasn't executed as well as it could have been. The main issue for me is that there are wayyyy too many buttons to keep track of. Usually a good game would have one main mechanic or gimmick for the player, but having three (swapping dimensions, switching shapes, and dyes) is a little too much. Instead of focusing on different mechanics I would have liked to see a bigger focus on polish, for example I noticed there are no sound effects. Nevertheless, I liked the music and, I still enjoyed playing your game, so well done!

I guess I didn't really notice the death sound, but there are many places where you could have put sound effects for example, jumping, pressing the Q key, switching dimensions, completing a level, and even collecting new shape abilities. All these things don't have sound effects which make it sound really empty.
The game is good but too hard for me, i think if you just blurred the Background image a bit that would help the player to focus more on Character.
Btw game is nice , controls are nice Sound are good
And yep i like the concept as well , some minior things which needs to be fixed and is already mentioned by other people down below. Btw A very good entry!
I also request you to check my First Game Jam game also and give you honest opinion on that.
Thanks
Good concept, but too hard. As others says, too much thing to do with one hand. I'm not sure the circle shape is needed (The possibilities was already large enough with 2 shapes). Level design seems good (but I didn't go so far). Controls are good. Some more sound fx would be great. Retro music is cool. Well done.
Thanks for the feedback! The game was supposed to be very hard, but I agree that the difficulty scaled way too quickly. We were going to add more to the right side of the keyboard but we didn’t have enough time. You can use Shift to change colors and the num pad to change shapes. This is our first Game Jam, so feedback helps us a lot so we can know what we’re doing right and what we should improve on for our next project.
That was your 1st jam ?! Congratulation ! That's a good game, and even more for a first jam. You can be proud of what you have done.
I suggest you not making games too hard for a jam. Players have many different skills, we are not all interested by the same kind of game, but as game maker, we are open to all kind. If your game is too hard, the most of what you've done will be seen by only few people: It's a pity!
I like the puzzle concept with the shapes. The other side feature was implemented well too. But, wow, it got hard fast. I really enjoyed the game and had fun playing! Maybe if the controls were made to use 2 hands instead of everything on the left side on the keyboard?... Just a thought. Good job everyone!
Thanks! When we had some other people playtest the game the day before the jam ended, we realized that it was very difficult with having everything on the left side of the keyboard but it was a little late to change much else. You can use num pad for shapes and the shift key for changing color which makes it much easier. We also wanted to implement all of these mechanics which made it a little difficult to correctly scale difficulty across just 10 levels. We wanted the game to be difficult but as this is a lot of our first times doing any level design we definitely learned a lot and will be applying it to the next jam.
