cool game, with some learning curve in the platforming. One thing that could improve the movement a bunch is adding dynamic jumping (longer you hold the button, the higher you go) to give the player good control over their movement. great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! The idea is actually good. We already had a lot of hours spent on the controls so we did our best to make them fluid. An idea is also to add water in the maze so that the slime can swim etc. There is quite a lot of room for improvement!

The art and the lighting looks really good! Also the character movement feels really statisfying to use.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks! Glad you liked it ;)

Good work, I have not found the exit of the maze yet. I have some troubles with the platforming, not sure what I would like to have it changed to.

Making a teleport, teleporting back and resetting it is a cool idea, but I also feel the controls are not that intuitive.

p.s. the treasure am I able to open that or…?

Developer

Thanks. Haha we weren't sure either. Probably more testing and iterating would result in a better alternative. Yeah, It was really weird to decide on what controls to use for that mechanic. Because each remnant could be placed strategically, so we didn't want a general create/destroy buttons -> instead have each one be controlled individually. But again, there's probably a more intuitive alternative we haven't thought of yet.

No, haha, we wanted the game to have more things like treasure, enemies and etc but kinda ran out of time :D

Purely trying to find all the beautiful artworks got me hooked already. Love the music and sfx. Especially the slime wak sound. Well done!

Haha thanks friend, glad you liked it! Our artists will be very happy to hear (;

I like the concept of trading health for checkpoints. The music and sounds are very cool, cave-y and slimey. And the bloom effects really make the game quite beautiful. I do wish I had some idea of what I needed to do from the start, turns out this was just a big maze and I happened to make it to the end. I think with some puzzles, a clear goal to work toward and some interesting enemies, this could really be something!

Developer

Thank you! Much appreciated <3

I like it! The jumping is very intuitive for such an unusual platforming method. I think the teleporting mechanic is really interesting, I wished it was explored more. I assumed the intricate background objects were places I needed to teleport to and interact with in some way. I think the mechanics are strong and could really shine with some more time on level design!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback Jorim, much appreciated!
We hoped the remnants and their usage as breadcrumbs/checkpoints/teleport points will help you in the navigation of the (supposedly) hard to solve maze :).
