How was your experience with Mini Jam?
I really liked how you gave the theme beforehand, then revealed the limitation at the start of the jam.

Thank you!! I always love seeing someone's first impressions of my game. Your feedback was very helpful, especially because I decided to continue development on "OwO". The card mechanic is kind of tacked on, and I didn't have much time for audio. (looking back, I could've slept a bit later and added audio, now realizing how much difference it makes.)

It was very fun! Enemy's death should have some kind of effect/impact.

Well done! It kept me playing for a while just to see what king of cards could i get.

Loved the graphics and the game as a whole. I would change the player movement a bit so that you always face forward, towards the enemies (though the controls were very smooth and movement was fun) and maybe add a bit of a wind up to the attack, especially the pink laser shooting dudes and the swordfish guys, they just sort of attack out of nowhere.

I also think the implementation of the card mechanic was a bit weird, the buffs just weren't that noticeable to me. I think it may have been a bit better if the player has to pick a card when they get a buff, just to give a bit more player interaction.

I loved the enemies and player characters, they were really well designed, and were clear in their function, bat that shoots you first enemy, bigger bat, swordfish etc. Also loved the background, very subtle but lovely.

Overall very fun game

I liked the randomness of the buffs/nerfs! Although I think I was getting more nerfs than buffs haha. Also the monster designs were very cute!

This was pretty fun, and I liked the surprise of not knowing what I would get next! I would work on the coding of the movement of the player because when you hold the mouse down the character vibrates back and forth.
