This was such a great experience and I loved that at the end I saved all the little dinosaurs! It made me very happy :) The sounds were great and the music made me feel like I was on the most important mission of my life hahaha! My only piece of feedback would be for an emphasis on the movement of the spaceship - I didn't actually have to move much at all whilst I was playing. It might be cool if something was also trying to attack me from planet earth / below my space ship so that I had to move out of the way :) Great job overall though! <3

This game was a lot of fun to play and I felt suitable levels of anxiety rising as more asteroids appeared on screen! The art syle is great, the controls feel smooth and these (along with the audio) all combined well together. My only suggestion would be to ask for more levels or gameplay so I could protect the Dinosaurs from extinction a little longer!

haha, thanks for the feedback. I really want to add some more variety levels in the future to make gameplay a bit longer. Thanks for playing!

All I can say is "DOPE GAME!"

Music and sound effects feel very on point! The manuverability of the space craft actually resembles reality and you really have to connect some vectors and not spam the movement keys. I managed to figure it out after a while.

Maybe some forces on the ship become too strong after a while so perhaps you can put a upper limit. But that's just my own suggestion.

I like the theme and level of polish detail a lot too!

Thank you for the feedback and for playing

Like me some old school asteroid action.  The kidlike art was great and the particles was nice.  Sound was competent with a nice arcade-feel to it.  I would have liked a bit of a bigger play area, so that I could pull of some flying maneuvers.  Like maybe having a full earth in the center of the screen so that asteroids could come in from all 360 degrees.  This could also have given space for maybe having asteroids split in two.  As is, I could just stay in 1 place and fire at incoming asteroids without moving around at all.  This is just a suggestion and I really liked playing this

Thank you for the feedback and for playing. I agree that the play area is a bit too small. The asteroids also don't move in the way I had planned and that would have prevented you from staying still while shooting.

Hi! Just a reminder of this rule: " To be eligible to win any of the prizes, your team has to play and give feedback to five other entries by Monday, 5th October 2020".

So if you haven't done it yet, you still have the rest of this weekend and Monday to give your feedback!

This is super fun! I like that the effects are used to make the asteroids have some weight behind their explosions! The rocket controls well! The music and sound was a little too loud but overall I had fun!

Developer

Thank you for playing. I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Who doesn't love a classic game of asteroids?

The movement of the ship confused me until I realised that you can just hold w to fly toward your cursor, then I was alright.

Not much to the game, but I think the sound design was great. I definitely felt like the end of the world were at stake. Also I enjoyed how you leaned into the MS Paint art style and turned it into a feature rather than a flaw.

Thanks for playing. I drew everything in Photoshop with my mouse. haha. I even wrote the words with the brush using my mouse. I'm glad you liked it.

I instantly flew into the planet and destroyed the dinosaurs while trying to figure out the controls. 10/10

It was well executed though, good job. Each shot and hit of the asteroid making the screen shake was nicely done. I love the inertia movement, it would be interesting to see future stages trying to navigate around obstacles with it.
Nice stuff!

Haha nice game! Had a lot of fun! Music and visuals all mix well together. :)

Kinda bummed that the dinosaurs we're not included in the gameplay! Was hopping they'd be the ones shooting. XD

I would of added more difficulty by having the asteroid explode into multiple smaller rocks but that's just being nit picky!

Great job! :)

Developer

Thanks for playing. Interesting idea to include the dinosaurs into the gameplay somehow. Didn't think of that.

I've had trouble finding a good balance with the difficulty, but I do agree that the asteroids should explode into tinier asteroids. I'll definitely add it in for a future update.
