No, I understand that. I just want to know what happens when you click Mark resolved? Does it just move it to the "Resolved" list so the itch.io admins see what the creator decided?

It says on the tin, they only look at some reports.

Maybe it makes more sense if you consider, that you can change the comment section and appoint additional moderators.

If a comment thread doesn’t fit your needs you can also enable an entire message board for your project’s page. On the Edit project page, directly below the option for comments, you'll find the option to enable a discussion board. A discussio board contains all the features of any community on itch.io: full control over the content posted along with the ability elect moderators, stick topics, and set rules.

Thanks for your reply, but you haven’t answered my question…

Anyways I ended up jumping the gun and pressing the “mark resolved” button to see what happens. Seems like the report is indeed moved to the “resolved” tab. I still don’t know what this means. Looks like just an organization mechanism?

Sharing the result in case anyone else wondering the same.

This is community support and not tech support.

But it stands to reason, that if Itch does only look at some reports, that this sorting is mainly for the developer and any appointed moderators.

Okay, thanks for your help anyway. :)

I hope the itch.io admins will see this and realize that the UX of this feature isn't very obvious and will make some improvements.

I hope someone with familiarity with these repoers is willing to answer. I’m curious, too.
