i liked really much the visuals but i think some background music make it better
Thanks! Unfortunately, I was unable to create music for the game(
I really love the randomness for level sequencing, at restart my game was different so it put me in more curious position, I wanted to see all levels ! Also nice level design choices to hide some bumps at the edge of the map! Great job
Thanks! i'm glad to read that!
I really love this pixel character. The mischievous expression and the adorable rosy cheeks are great. I had no trouble with the controls, probably because you used such familiar keys. That was a really good choice. The random map generation does a great job of creating that feeling of being trapped in an endless corridor.
I genuinely couldn't figure out how to eat the banana in that picture, even though I ran into it twice. While I was puzzling over it, something started chasing me, and out of curiosity I just stood still to see what would happen, and got a game over. Haha. I actually had a lot of fun with that moment. It was unexpected.
I think the game would benefit from some BGM that matches the atmosphere, something strange, quirky, and a little mysterious. Congrats on finishing the game, it's well made!
Thanks if you want to collect that you just need to try that)))) ;)
The controls feel great, with good level design!
I'm glad to hear it!
thank you!
Challenging little jumping game. I like it!
The first room seems to be always the same, whereas the rest is randomly selected. Is this by design? A fixed order would allow to compete for the highest score between players.
The difference in difficulty levels is just the time before the colorful wiper appears, right? I would love to also get harder platform layouts too.
There were a few levels where the banana was unreachable. Or is it me? =)
Enjoyed this quite a lot. Played more rounds than expected. Nice game jam entry!
Thanks! Yes, the first room is always the same, especially to show all the basic mechanics of the game. The difficulty only affects the speed of the wave. And absolutely all bananas are available ;) you just need to take a little risk)))
I will think about implementing these ideas and, perhaps, add another level of complexity and a static generation mode with have the end.
Oh, and by the way, the wave can't lag behind the player by more than 1 screen)))
Gameplay feels very good, graphics are good but this background makes my eyes melt :)
sorry about background >_<
The gameplay is great! The jump feels slightly slow, but otherwise I very much liked it. I will say that I dont quite understand the correlation to the theme or special object, but it is a solid platformer and very expandable! Good job!
Thanks for the comment!
The theme is related to the fact that we're stuck in a time travel space and trying to escape (while running away from a wave of destruction).
And the banana is just like the strawberry from Celeste, except it also gives you a score.
Small but high-quality game, I like it
Thank you!
Pretty polished I like it!
Thanks!
The best game so far
Thanks!
super banana cat
