I liked this a lot! I also found an infinite jump glitch, so I definitely beat some of the levels the unintended way, but also I thought it was fun like that. The cutscenes were cool too!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked that little glitch xD

I really loved the complexity of the puzzles offered in your project! Getting to flip between three states of being to figure out how to maneuver kept me scratching my head! Atop of that the audio design swapping with the states was a wonderful little detail! Love this project!

Developer

Thank you so much! I am really glad you liked it!

Oh my gosh I absolutely adore suppes! I like that this game challenged me with such a unique concept. I found myself taking my time with some of the levels and enjoying it for the entire ride. This game has so much style too!
Also I had a really silly glitch where the cat was walking upside down but I honestly loved it because it was cracking me up so it didn't bother me at all

Developer(+1)

I have no idea where they upside down glitch comes from, it's pretty rare but I'm glad you got a kick out of it! I think even if I could fix it, I'd probably leave it in now, it's funny.

Submitted(+1)

DONT FIX IT

Submitted(+1)

No but honestly I thought it was intentional at first and was like "wow this is so out of the box I love it"

Submitted(+1)

Really cool game !

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I loved last delivery but I couldn't figure out how to escape the maze lol

Submitted(+1)

Ahah nothing too complicated but you've to think outside the box ^^

Submitted(+1)

really cool. love the synergy of the mechanics, and has some nice vibey atmosphere.

great soundtrack too adding to that vibe! like others have mentioned, I think it could use a little more player guidance, on the controls, but figuring it out didn't take too long.

B0X0P0LIS could also use more player guidance, but I hope you'll play it and enjoy it if you find the time!

great work!

Developer

I tend to agree, I've got to work on hidden tutorials. But let's both work on striving to become better!

wow! i love quantum purr-a-box so much!! you can tell there was so much heart put into the game with all the small details-- i love the pixelated hand-drawn art-style! i think the more monotone color-scheme is a unique stylistic choice and im actually a big fan of the music. i like how it changes between regular and ghost mode and it feels very upbeat and bubbly (and creepy in ghost mode).

im usually really bad at platformers, but i had a lot of fun figuring out all the puzzles using the ghost vision (eyes closed and walking through a wall is scary)! each level has a unique mechanic to figure out which never made me feel bored. i followed along with the daily devlogs on youtube and it was fun to see it all come together at the end! also thank u for the accessibility features, that is such a great touch that is often overlooked.

for a solo dev-- this is awesome. it's not easy being the artist, coder, musician, and script writer all in one. it feels really like a labor of love. also super neat that you are replying to people, engaging with the community, & taking advice to heart!

i love suppes <3

Developer

I don't quite know what to say.

It is so incredibly heartwarming to read such a thoughtful and detailed review. Hearing that all the details actually landed with you makes all the hard work feel completely worth it.

Being a solo dev is hard, and there were definitely moments where balancing the art, code, and music felt impossible. Thank you so much for watching the devlogs!

Thank you so much for the kind words and for following along with Suppes. Comments like yours is exactly what keeps me motivated to make video games!

nice game but the mechanic did have a bit of a steep learning curve, other than tha the theme, idea, art and all is amazing

Developer

Thank you so much! I didn't think anyone would like the art so it's great to hear! <3

really fun project!

im a big fan of small impressive details, and this has so many! very clean, simple yet effective game. (ps, timmy tuna a fucking legend)

Developer

The tuna tells only the truth! Thank you for the kind words!

This concept is purretty cool!

The colors did hurt my eyes from switching every two seconds, but I still really liked the visual consistency! The general style and idea is very great and I enjoyed the variety of puzzles, I would say the visuals changing and the music changing when in the ghost mode really felt good and there was a nice clear contrast between the modes and their utility.

Overall, I think this looked nice and had an interesting mechanic, Great Job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I don't know if the no_flash setting in the settings would have helped with the colors or not, but I'll keep in mind for my future projects to try and stay away from flipping colors too often!

Your welcome😃

Solid game! Good platforming gameplay and a unique twist. Could maybe stand to gain from a clearer tutorial of mechanics and what is interactable.

Developer

Absolutely! I should have added a highlight to the clickable boxes. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

the movement speed is kinda slow but its fine as the game itself is fun and the video pitch si good, the artowork and audio are good aswell

Developer

I'm glad you liked the audio! It was my first attempt at sound effects and music making!

controls are unusual but this leads to unique puzzles.

cat itself moves kinda slow b ut that's ok

Developer

I hope the controls weren't too hard to get used to!

Amazing Game! the artwork is amazing and the video pitch was great.

Developer

Thank you so much! It was my first try at doing pixel art!

Great mechanics that really work well together, although some could do with being explained more imo. Great game though.

Developer

Thank you! I agree some clarity was definitely needed in areas!

Submitted(+1)

Great Artwork Huge congrats!!!

Developer

You really think so? That's so kind! I was really worried people wouldn't like the art <3

Submitted(+1)

Once you get the hang of launching the skeleton the game becomes really fun to play! The concept is also probably the funniest I've seen from the jam yet.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the platforming!

Unique game idea

Developer
