Thanks for telling me about this. You're right about me creating the bullet in the gun, and I did have a variable for this issue but it seems like I didn't use it at all. Which again is my bad. Regardless, I'll upload the fixed game as soon as I can. Thank you for the reply and bug report!

Thanks for playing!

Yeah that's totally my fault, I was planning on adding a keybinds list in the game but totally forgot. So the only way to know all the buttons are through the itch page.  A lot of other people also complained about the difficulty scaling, so I'll fix all of this the moment I get the chance to. Anyhow, thanks for playing!

The concept is simple yet fun. The controller is really well made, it is difficult to make a character that feels responsive and nice to use so great job on that! I won't mention the wall jump since others already have. The music was also nice to listen to while coming up with the solutions to these puzzles. All in all it's a great game!

Very simple and creative puzzle game, I could easily see this being put on mobile without any issues. Not much to say, great job!

This was really fun! Like actually something I would play a full game of if it were more developed. The lore was great too. I do think the intro cutscene was a bit long, though I don't know how you would fix that. Otherwise the only other complaint I have is that some attacks don't have any telegraphing at all. I know there was a time constraint because of the jam but it did feel like I had to predict when some attacks were coming before they actually happened because otherwise I would instantly get hit. Regardless I think this is up there with some of the games I enjoyed most in the jam. Great work!

I'm a bit biased towards turn based games and the focus mechanic really reminded me of stuff like Undertale and Deltarune. Pretty fun overall so great job!

Very simple but funny as hell, I was laughing the whole time. The music was super intense for the main character to just be running around so slowly, but that only added to the comedy. Not to mention the unemployed win screen. I think it's by far one of the funniest games I've played in the jam.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm happy people are enjoying the game.

Thanks for checking the game out! You're right, I probably could have made the video more interesting at the start to hook people in properly.  So thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for the kind words and thanks for playing!

Thanks for the kind words! It seems a lot of other people also thought the difficulty scaling was too hard and that's on me for not having anyone to play test. But thanks for playing anyways!

Thanks for playing! I didn't have any play testers so I couldn't tell whether the enemy spawning speed was too much, thanks for the feedback though!

Thanks! That's my bad for the difficulty scaling, I'm used to bullet hell and top down shooters so I wasn't sure what was difficult and what wasn't. Not having anyone to play test other than myself didn't really help either. Regardless thanks for playing!

This is crazy for being done in a month. I think it's probably one of my favorites in terms of concept and overall look!

It's a fun game, I'm not sure if I just wasn't good enough to make it further in but I would have liked a bigger variety of the "levels" that get procedurally generated. Otherwise this is a job well done!

I'll drop my game in here too. If anyone wants to play it here's the link!

I am not going to lie, I was expecting much more of a joke game. But this was genuinely a really fun game to play! I might be a bit biased because I like Ultrakill, but most stuff like the dash and parry felt really nice to use. Overall really well made and pretty funny!

Rated yours! Here's mine if you want to try it out.

Once you get the hang of launching the skeleton the game becomes really fun to play! The concept is also probably the funniest I've seen from the jam yet.

This played really well, great job!

There were some parts that were a bit unpolished. But otherwise, the vibe and concept led to a fun game with pretty unique mechanics!

Pretty fun game! I think the execution could have been done a bit better, especially with how often enemies get stuck on the ship in the early game. But the game was fun to play and the audio was pretty funny.

The game is really nice to look at, probably one of the best I've seen! There were some things i didn't really understand, like the ice boss's effect, but it was fun brute forcing through it regardless. The soundtrack was also phenomenal. The concept was also really unique and executed perfectly. All in all probably the best game I've played in this jam yet!

The game was really nice to look at despite having simple colors and shapes. The game concept is unique and i really liked when the buttons were added on top of the pistons! Overall great job!

Thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed.

Here's my rogue-like game if you want to try it! https://itch.io/jam/bad-ideas-game-jam-2026/rate/4426596

It's a top down shooter and rogue-like with hints of bullet hell! Feel free to leave feedback or comments if you encountered a bug or something, I'll try to fix it as soon as possible!

Does the short have to be formatted after the bad ideas shorts like Jonny? Like starting with "Bad game idea..." or can i format it however i want? Looked around the community posts and couldn't really get a clear answer, but most people did do it in bad idea format. My game isn't really a bad idea so it would be hard to make a short formatted like everyone else.
