This is totally random, but the box art in this game is so cool! Like I know that is such a small piece in the grand scheme of things, but it really stood out to me :)
As for gameplay, this game really is fun. I have been playing it for the last two hours and can see myself playing even more, this is number 1 out of the games I personally have played in the jam.
I didn't expect there to be a story, but as I was progressing I was pleasantly surprised. Although difficult, getting to round 8 felt so rewarding because I got to experience more to the game than before.
Great job taking something anyone can play, and making it out of the box (literally)
I seriously love this game so much. It is cute, it sounds great and the story is amazing. Like I was super super impressed with this not going to lie. I think it is such a unique way to do a platformer, and the charge bars were really stylized.
My only complaint is I really struggled with the font, I love the style and see the vision, but it kind of made me a little dizzy when reading, but that is not that big of a deal in the scheme of things
I liked the concept of this game a lot! Making a good looking game in unreal can be hard, but I think you did a great job! I am glad you had graphics options, because even on my decent gaming PC, it struggled a little on the lower graphics settings. My only other comment would be a second to gain your bearings before the punches start landing, but it definitely adds to the chaos! Overall great job :)
I liked the amount of content you were able to add into this game! Its a simple concept, but you were able to add a lot of gameplay and flair by making sure to add the chaotic elements to the gameplay like the bomb etc. I think that fits pandoras box well! Once I realized this was all done in scratch I was even more impressed!
Very good especially for first game jam, keep up the good work!
This is a really cute idea, as someone who absolutely adores monster hunter, I like this silly twist on it.
I will say when I tried walking into some of the buildings I did get some errors in the first area, it wasn't able to load person 1 and locked me where I was.
But, I did like this game and I have a special place in my heart for RPG games. I think with some more polish this game will continue to grow. The story is well written :)
I can't really leave any feedback, I am just so impressed that this was made in 30 days. It is extremely polishes, has great game play, and phenomenal sound design. My only thing that wasn't 5 stars was the video pitch, and that is just because I wish there was a voice over or just something more to sell the game, not just footage and beats. That being said though, this game seriously was amazing and I hope all of the devs are extremely proud
You just made me realize I forgot to make the left bounds trigger for the raccoon scene lol, I will definitely fix that. As for the shooting it was a skill diff on my part, Glorp uses a state machine which I never coded before this and I was trying to make it so the gun_equip state would be slower movement and even have a indicator how far the player could shoot, but I ended up not being able to fix the terrible bugs with it so I gave up after losing sleep over it haha. It is definitely on my list to figure out however.
Thank you for playing, I really appreciate it, and I am glad you enjoyed playing :)
This game is really cool, the art is really stylized and makes the game very cohesive throughout, the music and audio fits the gameplay, and the level design was unique and challenging. I liked the sticky notes plastered on the side that were used as helpful hints and tutorials "Bubbles = bad" was a really silly one and I appreciated it.
The upgrades make the gameplay more dynamic as well and challenging. Great job!
This game was seriously so cute! I really liked all the sound effects and the puzzles got increasingly more difficult. I had to put my thinking cap on and I loved that! Putting the cat in the box was the best part haha. I liked the level design a lot, I can tell you took the time to plan out each level and play tested, because I did not run into many issues at all!
