How does the game fit the theme?
You are a humanoid being that travels to different places (for the demo just one) where you don't know anything, nor the language nor the place.
You will have to learn about that strange and foreign place you arrived at and complete that language database, while helping the residents.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Some sound effects were found in itch.io, others (like the voices or typing SFX) made by me.
The pixel font was also from itch.io.

It was nice to see a more lighthearted take on strange places. I wish deciphering involved more than just reading books on the floor, but it was still enjoyable. The visuals and audio also had an otherworldly feel. Nice work.

This was a fun game! And the music was really nice too

Really great game! I loved the audio and the concept of trying to figure out what the characters wanted. The only bug I noticed was that one time when I placed the lightbulb down next to the guy, I couldn't pick it back up because it would always trigger dialogue with him.

What a concept and briliant estatic! I like it a lot!

That game is freaking clever. And i ABSOLUTELY love the visual proposition, that's fucking singular ! Congrats, A LOT !

Feel free to test our game !

This game is really simple and cute, nice concept too c:
Although my playthrough was super short, it left me with positive feelings

Shows how important audio is and how it contributes to the atmosphere. Nailed that. A bit more content/variety spread over the place and connections between villagers would elevate this a lot. Keen to see what you will make out of this.

Thank you! Yes, I wanted to add some more things but time flew. Looking forward to continuing it in the future though! So all feedback is very appreciated.

Cool concept (it's fun to gradually understand the villagers more), polished look, cute sound design (the music doesn't loop though, there's a fadeout !).
Very short though ! It deserves more writing, even just flavor text, having three characters "seem agitated" is sad when the whole point here is to gradually understand dialogues :(. I also wish the books (at least some of them) were obtained as a reward for understanding something, not just lying here on the ground waiting for me to press E...

Granted, there was a lot to do and the visual and sounds are really nice, I just... think the gameplay had strong potential and you barely took time to explore it.

Yes, I agree. Thank you for the feedback! I did not have as much time to work on it as i thought i would, but i want to keep developing it in the future. Definitely will be keeping your advice in mind!

Visuals and sound were great, and the voices hiliarious. I think I annoyed the village too much though.

The sound design was really nice, it created a rather charming atmosphere. Piecing together the language and trying to fill in any blanks you have was entertaining.

I really like the art style, the houses are very cute! Also the audio for the voices is fun!

Very cool concept! Liked the art style - was fun to try and piece things together there.
