Cool flashlight mechanic! I liked the heavy atmosphere of the caverns!
Unfortunately, I got softlocked at the end because in the autosave the enemy was right on top of the crate for the ladder.
Also, can you please tell what is the song that is used for the chase sequence, did you make it yourselves? Sounds nice :)
You could add dangerous areas away from the elevator with some rarer resources to have a reason to go there perhaps. Maybe you could try other actions apart from hitting, like researching (having a creature/plant in an area for certain amount of time) or simply feeding or growing things to harvest later? Have creatures/plants that hunt other creatures/plants. Maybe try some environmental puzzles, like mazes, deep floors set in total darkness or floors with weird movement modificators, floors with traces of lost civilizations with still functioning tech and traps. You could try some interconnectivity, having blockers in the first floors that could be destroyed only with high-end items from deep floors or doors on deeper floors, which are opened with items found at the beginning behind some obstacles.
World's your oyster with this one :D
The solid gameplay hook would have been enough for me to complete the game and enjoy it, but it also has this super charming presentation, banger music and the cutest art, really polished experience! And the epitaphs were so good! All of them were really smart and funny. The downside of that however is that it made me want to put more strangers in the danger's way :')
Finally a Vermis game! And a dungeon crawler too, woah! Just a perfect blend in my view
Without that personal bias though, I feel like it has an amazing atmosphere with really effective spooky moments, tense gameplay and striking inspired art!
I must say, I couldn't complete it, my flesh melted so quickly even with equipment :')
Although I liked the persistent level, which allows you to plan ahead, and of course the disposable nature of your flesh minions, really MÖRK BORG'ian. Great stuff!
(couldn't run it in the browser though)
I tried it before, but couldn't beat the boss then. Tried it again today, but got this error on launch:
Error: Couldn't load project data at path "/". Is the .pck file missing?
If you've renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable's name (without the extension)
But the experience I remember was stylish as hell, cool visuals too. Fill tool though stood out to me for some reason hehe
Would like to see smiley go to other strange places and beat other mc agents bosses. Merlin perhaps? ;)
With how nasty my OVERSEER-AI was with these poor technicians, I think it wasn't that cold and uncaring after all :)
I liked this game. The atmosphere, the interface, the situations, the reactions of the operator are all really cool!
Although, it is pretty hardcore, and at the beginning I might have benefited from the explanation that you could actually stack commands oops :s
