Sounds were great, the scrolling text gave me an Alien vibe (especially with the aesthetic and colour pallet). The thought of getting lost on a polyhedron is intriguing, wish there had been a few more sizes of planets to explore.
Felt like it lacked a bit of a story, maybe even if just the scrolling text had a few more elements than just a log.
Great work.
I really liked the music for this. It's that perfect ambient for space travel. It paired really well with the minimalist visuals. Thought the gameplay loop was nice, though I think it could have done with more threats beyond running out of fuel.
The artistic direction of the game is very cool!
This game looks great!
I enjoyed this one very much. I especially liked the aesthetics, and the gameplay was very simple though engaging enough, especially when planning routes to not run out of fuel.
very impressive and fun, amazing work! maybe You could add a fuel level indicator so I could see it at all times?
simple but effective gameplay loop, great job! it's honestly impressing that you made this alone, and in godot
Wow! great game! Cool visuals and sound, simple yet engaging gameplay. I like how exploring the planets requires resource management, and tiles are revealed at the cost of fuel.
It would be nice that the ship upgrades were more impactul, but eitherway its fun. Great job!
Incredibly well-polished, the art is amazing, and the sound is great as well. What this game does, it does perfectly. My main issue is that it does get a bit monotonous to just collect crystals over and over again, and once you have gotten all of your upgrades there just isn’t anything left to do. Amazing game either way!
The visuals and the vibe of the game is so unique and polished.. The expedition on the planet was such a cool concept and way of exploring a territory piece by piece and with some bit of gamble! Well done, I might steal that idea ;)
I found it confusing to play, maybe it's because I'm stupid or idk, i would be great if there was a tutorial or something similar, and if there is, then I'm a stupid again
ah that 's my fault then, sorry about your experience :(
maybe the console indications are a little too vague? I'm curious to know where exactly you got stuck
so basically you have a radar scanning for planets, you can move your ship around with left click, and once you find a planet you can begin an expedition to it, where you can move from tile to tile with left click, collect crystals to upgrade your truck, and you need to go back to the starting tile to end the expedition before you run out of fuel (you can see your remaining fuel on the right side panel, it's basically how many tile movements you have left)
Oooooh, I put it on the console, so yes i am stupid.
Stunning visuals! I think running out of fuel is a bit too punishing, but overall I can definitely see this game making it to a full release.
This game gives Plague Inc. for me, I really like this game! Could be made into a full release!
The visuals are so good! I always have a bias for scifi vibes haha. Music and sounds also fit the vibes really well. The game is intuitive and easy to understand. I'd love that in the planets exploration part you can rotate around with a mark on the staring point since the game auto rotating would be easy to lose track. but that's probably a preference. Other than that the game is amazing!
I think for a game jam you can't do any better. I got every upgrade and then got 100 more crystals just for fun. It was fast, easy to understand, looked beautiful, sounds amazing.
The theme feels a little lacking only by comparison to how great the rest is, I wish there was a little more reason to explore than just getting the crystals, but that's a nitpick. Otherwise I think just about the only real "problem" is the planets are a little hard to see, and it felt kind of like I was just randomly clicking around until a saw a little glint.
But yeah, incredible job on the game, it's great!
Wow man how did you do this? haha the polish and the vibes are immaculate. The rotating of the planet and the color palette and the atmospheric music really got me. I think the actual game mechanic can be improved but I mean the game jam was a week haha. This is fantastic work for the time we had
Really good!
