Ha, this one truly fits the theme. I like how many styles it has! And also very funny.

HOW DOES THIS ONE NOT HAVE ANY RATINGS YET????
Honestly I may be a bit biased because I love rhythm games, but this was easily in my top 10 this jam. It has an insane amount of polish, the visuals really are insane, and I love that each character has a frame that matches their personality.
While the mixing in the songs sounds great, I think the dialog parts sound a bit muted. Other than that, I really, really liked this game! I would buy a complete version of this in a heartbeat.
Well done!
I loved all the characters, and the game is the right amount of funny. It's a great management game, I wouldn't mind playing a more complete version of this one!
The visuals are very good, I especially like how each character type has its own style! And I liked the progression in each room, and having to balance what upgrades you buy so you can meet all the guest's requests. The whole games seems very polished.
Good job!
Thank you for the kind words!
Totally get that. We intended the last part to go by quickly. The game doesn't really have anything left to reveal after you figure out it was a trap. You can stay and get more replies but since it's essentially done you can pretty much visit the last few signals right as they unlock, as the path is already set then. I would have loved to give it more polish in that sense but this is our first game so we had to cut a lot of things out of the scope to make it to the deadline.
Totally fair.
Yes, we tried to keep a balance between not outright giving the answers but also not keeping it so vague that it no one can finish it. Clearly the balance is off but it's something that we'll keep in mind in the future! Thank you so much for your feedback.
Oh and BTW, you can speed up text, it reacts to the spacebar, the ENTER and Z keys on the keyboard! And yes, what you bring up is totally not intended, the nodes should indeed be updated on visit.
It's criminal that this doesn't have any ratings yet!
I really liked the concept. I've played games where you have to interact with files before but I really liked how this one also takes the structure of the directory into consideration.
Now, I'm not sure if I got stuck or if I reached the end of the game, but I can't seem to get past the assembly hall. That said, I really enjoyed what I played. The art looks beautiful. The only real downside I would say is the music loop that plays in the background, it feels too short, but if it started bothering me I could just turn it down.
Great game!
I liked the concept (I also like GeoGuessr so I'm biased).
It's other planets so it's obviously very strange places. It has kind of a Pikmin vibe with the descriptions for the items.
Sometimes I found it a little hard to move around since the waypoints don't always respond at first, but nothing too major.
Clearly a lot of work was put into the visuals, they're insane. The models, the style, the camera, the effects.
The idea is very solid and it definitely fits the theme, however I found the things the demons say hard to decipher at first to know which stat they will increase. Playing some more you start to get the hang of it.
Ha, surprisingly the ball wasn't too hard, it was just drawing lines in 3D space, rotating by a little bit for each one, then just a bunch of circles for the "latitudes". Then it was a simple animation to get it rolling, and some interaction to react to the mouse. For the signals, it's the same thing but drawing squares and crosses, with a bigger radiuses to compensate for the sphere size!
The bulk of the work went into the script and getting the interactions just right, which I don't think I nailed perfectly based on playtesting and some comments, but I think we struck a pretty good balance between it being too obvious and being hard. I would definitely like to take another crack at it, though!
It was the first jam we could complete a game for! We tried entering one last year but sadly we didn't have enough experience to realize our concept. We're excited to see what people think of our game, we spent a lot of time on it!
This is our game:

Thank you. Your words really do mean a lot.
We made this game for a game jam, so unfortunately we had to limit the scope to make it to the deadline. However, doing updates and expanding the story is something we're definitely open to!
The Child is a part of the content that we had to limit, and right now only serves as a bit of a lore extra, and doesn't serve an objective to finishing the game.
That being said, we just finished up some remaining bugs and some of the things you mentioned are actually addressed in this version!
It also includes a wonderful dynamic soundtrack that goes along with the game. If you're keen to trying the game one more time, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Thank you!
Well it did work for me but I agree with the other comment. The mouse sensitivity was way too low for me, and the game is way too dark in some places. In one room I accidentally broke a lightbulb and it made it pretty much impossible to navigate. You did good in making the items bright because if they weren't I wouldn't have been able to complete the game.
I would definitely not rate it a 1 star, though, the game worked from beginning to end and the sanity meter did add pressure to be quick.
Very good. Spent the first day on design and switched it up a couple of times. It's my first game so I went for a mystery text adventure. I spent most of the week writing and polishing the script, while at the same time actually building the game.
We're close to finishing, we are only missing some art asses (graphics and music) and will do a lot of playtest.
