That's such a cool tool, I love how many different options it gives!
Insanely cool with fantastic in engine demonstration of not just the code, but artistic pointers about layering. Perfect for a scene with fireflies I've been working on! Can't wait to put it to use.
Thank you! I'm glad the demonstration helped. There are a lot of possible ways to use the tool and properties to tweak it, so I wanted to have a visual way of demonstrating how it all works. Plus it's nice to have some preset examples to just plop into your scenes, like the fireflies!
This is a huge step up from the classic snow falling code snippet ! The tutorial really helps

I don't use Ren'Py, but I can easily see how adaptable and powerful these particle systems are. Imaginative yet practical. I'd think that almost anyone making any sort of VN would find at least one of these VFX helpful.
Great stuff as always. I'm sure we'll be seeing more particles effects use in the future.
