Pretty creative idea but it took a while to figure out what to do!

Really cool idea! I managed to escape with 5000 dollars. I agree with zioncalvo, this game would be super cool if you expand it during the marathon jam on the 9th

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback. I'd love to expand the game, what would you like to see in the game ? :D
5000 dollars is really good!

I could see the ability to choose your crew, each of them working around different playstyles and providing unique benefits and cards

Solid idea, I've never seen an idler that uses a Kanban board. It would be cool if the cards chained together more or had more strategy to them. Or if your "workers" had specialties where they can clear a certain card faster. Good work!

Developer

Thank you! I like the chain idea and the workers specialties seem also nice. Maybe i continue on this game and add like more diffrent workers which you can choose from :D

I liked the idea to gamify a kanban board. I think the cards are a bit too generic. I didn't care too much about what card I used, I just wanted to min-max the hell out of it :D Also the RNG got me so hard in the end. I had a perfect heist but all of a sudden an alarm broke out and I got arrested with half a second left on the escape

Developer

Thank you for your feedback ! :)
I'v tried to balance the cards as much as i could in the jam to make it not so much RNG . I've hoped someone has the experience to barely escape, so your experience is fully intended :D
If I continue on this game it will be more strategic and less RNG :D

Nice concept, like the idea!

Played it instead of working, ended up working ingame...

Developer

Thank you !:D

So working can be fun ? :D

I train every day at work for Kanban video games. Really fun idea!

Developer

Thank you! Would you like to see the game continued ? :D

I liked it alot. I could imagine there being some visual of the world where you get to see minions actually doing the work you assigned them etc to better understand the progress. Like a silly rts/puzzle. so yeah, it would be cool to see it grow!

Trello board for villains to plan evil work packages under time-pressure? What in the project management hell!? :-D

I really really like the idea and execution! Except one point: I think the high speed real-time aspect is not beneficial: I have no idea about the content of your cards, because I was just filling up slots as fast as I could. Maybe a turn-based approach would be better suited? Then it would be more of a tactical game.

I love the art style of the two minions. Do they have names yet? Maybe "Tasskk" and "Shkedul"? ;-)

Developer

Thank you for your feedback !:)

I have also thought in development to make it turn based, but I've not really found a good way to design the game around it. Maybe if I continue on this game, it will change :D

Unfortunately, I can't accept the compliment for the art style, the assets are from Kenney, but thank you! :D

Yeah, not straightforward.

A few quick ideas (without any claim to be good):

  • Pause the timer whenever an event happens (new card appears, task changes state, alarm goes off, etc.). The player can then make one single move (drag a card, activate some special action, etc.) or skip and the timer automatically starts again. As long as the timer is active, the player cannot make moves but can enjoy the action and visual feedback of the game. And during the pause there is enough time to think about the next move.
  • Another option would be to pause the timer (and events) if you hover over a card you can drag? This would allow you to grok the situation and plan your next move. As soon as you drag a card or move the mouse cursor somewhere else, the timer automatically start again.

But, yeah, it would change the feel of the game. So choose wisely =)

I liked it, very fun. It needs a few more sound effects and some particle/light effects on the tasks, maybe some animation by the villains to give it a little more punch.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! :)
Sadly, I didn't have much time for the jam, but if I continue developing it, it will definitely happen :D

Really cool idea, rough execution. I feel like it's kind of hard to understand what's going on at first and even when you get it, it's confusing.

Developer

Thank you ! :D
Yeah the game has not the best readability. My plan was to give the player more information over the existing tasks and what happened when it get done. Like show the Money Gain with animations or the new unlocked tasks ... but had no time :D
