Trying the new 0.9 version in either the last GZDoom or the latest UZDoom always results in:

1 errors, 0 warnings while compiling Siren 0.9e.ipk3:zscript.zs

Running in Linux terminal gives:

LoadActors: Load actor definitions.
Siren 0.9e.ipk3:zscript/silicon/npcs.zc, line 672: Unknown flag 'PIVOTTOP'

This is due to the custom build of the engine that I'm using, and here's only a windows exe supplied.

I'm going to work on a compatibility version for non-windows users.

I just added the exe to steam as a non-steam game and it worked right out of the box for me (CachyOS Linux) :)

Did the sound work as well? It is distorted on my end, when I add the exe to steam. I'm on the Fedora KDE spin.

Yep, sound was perfect. You could try bottles, lutris, or plain old wine. Also, maybe choosing a custom compatibility layer in steam (cog icon) might help.

Already tried different compatability layers. Funnily enough the game doesn't even start when using proton, only when I just run the exe. I'll mess around with bottles and see what happens. Thanks for the reply.

Got it to work. For me I just needed to open it with WINE.

If you’re distributing a modified version of UZDoom, you need to also distribute the source code, as per the license.

Good point. Here's the code until I can get this file updated. https://github.com/rowanthewlis/UZDoom/tree/Siren
