The sticky overpowering atmosphere and the lure of well made this a good read. I'm not sure if there was a "correct" choice of things to throw into the well for optimum output but I sure enjoyed chucking them. It was horrifying enough when I thought we were pushing a housemate and even more so when we got our just desserts!
Thank you so much for this thoughtful comment! Might sound weird, but it makes me happy to know you felt that twinge of horror at the narrator’s murder attempt. Throwing different things down really only changes the flavor, there is unfortunately no escaping your fate. I had a lot of fun writing those descriptions of hucking things down the well!
I really like the writing in this and the way the story builds with it seeming more and more will almost inevitably be given to the well.

I think I would have liked to have seen more of a fall out from when you start taking your housemate's most important items as a counterpoint to what the well is giving vs the trouble it causes, but given this is a petite mort entry I know time is also a factor!Thank you for playing, and for your thoughtful feedback!! The housemates are astonishingly chilled out for what they have to put up with - if/when I do a revised version I’d defs love to explore interpersonal dynamics and dramas way more.
I had a comment of some sort but I think it fell down the well. hope that'll make the climate of Ectocomp friendly for you or something
I can feel the weather mellowing out already! Throw it all down the well plz! (And thank you for playing!)
Hard to feel overly hot when I’m wrapped in a duvet and the curtains are shut to keep the cold out :D I really enjoyed this, but I wanted to throw more stuff down the well!
Thanks for reading, I’m glad you enjoyed it! But yes, it’ll probably resonate more in warmer weather, especially if you are anything like me and the return of summer brings with it a certain dread already. I’m obsessed with throwing things into wells as a game mechanic / narrative device, definitely want to explore it further!
Our summers are brief and seldom hot enough, so my dread is less.
Maybe the real horror was the friends we made along the way. . .
I’m certain the events of this game can only bring the other housemates closer together, at least!
made me feel hot and suffocated while its raining with a wind warning outside.
Thank you for playing, this is exactly the feeling I was aiming for. (I hope the wind and rain didn’t do any damage though!) Keen to check out your entry for Le Grand Guignol too!
