Very polished and stylistically strong. Even if I did not grasp the story as a whole I enjoyed the dark, broody writing. It gives off a deep state top secret protocol language vibe mixed with some conspiracy theory energy. Sometimes I wished it were a little more straight forward and that the game would have given me more information to work with so that I could piece together the overall narrative more easily, but that's just me I think others would love this type of no hand-holding writing. I'm interested in how you made the game in terms of engine and how you planned the writing and branching trees?

We also made a mainly text driven game but very different in essence, would love your feedback on it in terms of writing :D Anyway good job, very moody entry!

Thanks for the feedback!

The game is completely made in html css and js in Sublime text. The introductory video was made in unreal engine 5. According to the original idea, two gameplay should have been combined.:

1 - the scientist who was arrested, his escape and further return to the servers (unreal engine). It was supposed to be a horror stealth adventure game.

2 - the AI itself, what you were playing (running a web game inside an unreal game with an embedded browser)

The fact is that due to lack of time and effort (I made the game alone), the scientist part felt rudimentary, so it was decided to cut it out (because of this, it is difficult to put together a complete picture of what is happening)

I use google docs + starc to plan the plot, script, and game design documents for my games and movies.

I still rarely use pureref and twine.

+ my English is not that perfect +limited time for translation into another language , so some of the meaning could have changed/been lost

Thanks for the reply I will check out starc, it seems useful! Also the game you described with the scientist part could be very interesting but should also be tied together as to not feel like playing two games where players might develop a liking to one game and dread the other part! Still an idea with potential!

Amazing game with a fun take on the theme. I adored the presentation. I got high empathy and a human conscious level, but each decision really was tough!

Fantastic visual and sound design- I loved the terminal aesthetic and over ambience of the game. I did find it a bit slow, more like a "choose your own adventure" novelette than a game, but still very well done. I think one piece of criticism I  could give is I think the fear factor could be expanded on. I thought the irl (or ver convincing CGI) stills were a great way to give some weight to the choices- but something to build on the scares would really improve the lasting impact in my opinion.

overall- amazing work, and again FANTASTIC UI work

Cool use of the theme and diversifiers, I wish there was more interaction as this game almost comes off as a personality quiz otherwise which is the games biggest weakness (got the same result as Sleep Flight Games haha). Really great presentation though and I enjoyed the way you presented the narrative as through the terminal.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for the future.

I saved more than i lost, my empathy was high and my chaos was moderate. what more can I ask for! Its clear that the idea of trying to help can also cause pain comes through as theme. I felt like I was playing some futuristic post-apocalyptic game -surprisingly immersive for a text game - well done.
