Okay! I think I'll make it so the endless mode is unlocked after a defined score, so everyone tries the 20 sec version first

One of the featured games from past jams has an endless mode, is it okay if I also add one to my game? Or should I wait for the end of the jam to add an endless mode?

In this case you would also use your right hand to play, but that's why I said that maybe it would be better if there were more actions, because probably using a second hand just for one action wouldn't be that good

Haha I had never heard about Darkwood, it looks really cool

Yeah, I think either space or some key around J, but maybe this second option would be better if there were more actions

Really cute art style, I love the character's eyes hehe

Really cool game! The concept is similar to mine haha

Nice game! I like the mechanic

Nice game! Sometimes there are way more enemies than nodes to eat, and the enemies are pretty unforgiving, as one touch is all that takes to simply take all your life

I really like the art style and music! The color palette is also really nice!

Nice concept! I was expecting a jumpscare, though haha

I really loved the aesthetic!

The monster spooked me haha

I found the character really cute!

Btw for anyone wanting to eat peanut butter toast: you need to drag the knife to the butter and bread, and then drag "eat" to the bread

Nice demo! Got 2 of the endings

I really loved the graphics! I also loved the music that plays in the basement, I wanna keep listening to it haha

I found Father Ignacio's animations funny and I chuckled when he showed up hahaha

I think that maybe adding enemies or anything that could make you lose the game would be nice! Also I think that tank controls on WASD with the interact button on E don't work that well.

Cute graphics btw!

I liked the monster, I got scared when it showed up lol

Ohh I see! For some reason the zombies rarely enter the house from the other 2 entrances up ahead, I should try to fix that, thanks!

Thanks! Nice haha

The build mechanic works like this:

You dismantle objects, pick up wood from the floor (up to 5), then use it to barricade. The barricades can have up to 50HP, and each time you use wood on it you add 10HP (each hit from a zombie damages 1HP)

Thanks! I was planning on have a full family inside the house, but didn't have time to implement that.

There would be a limit to how many parasites you got on your body, but I found it cool when there were too many hahaha You also would love health faster depending on how many parasites you got, but I need to figure out a balanced way to implement that

Thanks! haha

Thanks! A friend of mine finds the parasites' screams funny though lol

Thanks! haha where is it?

obrigado!

Thanks for playing! I totally forgot that the game was in Portuguese, sorry lol I can't even edit it because I don't have Unreal in my PC anymore

This is a demo I made on Unreal as a final project for a game design course. Everything was done by me (art, annimations, music, programming). I plan to in the future make it into a full metoidvania game, but I'll probably start from scratch on Godot because Unreal is terrible for 2D

Oh, I didn't check that

Thanks!

I really love the art! They're cute! Fun game!

Thank you! haha

Really unique gameplay! I really like the art! It's a bit overwhelming at first

Really cool and unique gameplay! I like how fast paced it is! The boss is really creppy, those twitches he makes is a nice detail!

The art and animations are great! I got a bug against the first boss, when I jumped besides one of the mushrooms and got hit by an attack at the same time I got stuck mid-air

Really fun! I'm in love with the artstyle! I found the controls a bit weird at first, but I just need to get used to it

I really liked the different planet abilities! I wasn't expecting a card game, though! It has great replayability with the planets combinations, very nice!

Haha, but anyway the game was supposed to have at least 3 bosses (just couldn't do it in time), and as it was made with more than 1 boss in mind, even if you got lucky against one boss there would be others to fight and the outcome could be different

Thank you!

Thank you! Yeah, I need to work on the balance of items, you said that it's easy to get 5 good items, but others have said that the debuffs are more frequent lol maybe I need to rework the entire probability of items and make them less random. I'll consider changing the slot quantity btw

I like the art, and the animation is pretty good too! The little bear's voice is so cute lol

Just rated it! Really like the models
