the pixel art is all really good, but upon trying to interact with the first door my screen just goes black and nothing really happened, this may be due to the web version but I'm not sure

Developer

Thanks for playing. I think it is that and the mobile version. I didn't set it up properly for mobile so when you tap on the screen it goes to some random spot on the map for some reason. Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at this.

This is a really cool game so far and what a unique idea! As others have mentioned, that main character is going to haunt my dreams, lol. I like the creepy music, dungeon vibes, gory key system, and the pounding heart underlying it all (it's giving Tell-Tale Heart).  Can't wait to see where this goes. Well done, JibbyCoco!

Cool concept of using limbs as keys, the first door does have a hand on it but you do infact insert a foot inthere.

The gate sprites do look really sick!

I always reccomend that the pixelart stays a consistent size and does not have upscaling so that each pixel on the screen is the same size, makes the game look much more consistent and tought out.

The character design is quite creepy!

Music is creepy.

I encountered a weird glitch where if I immediatly walk into the door after opening it, it will open once again, dissapeer and I get stuck lol, thankfully this was on my second try.

Good luck!

You should also play and rate my game roughneck, it will change your life and you will get 1 milion dollars in 2 weeks!

Cool-looking dungeon. Decent soundscape.

There is something creepy about the expression on the character's face. I guess this is intentional. 😁

Note that there was a bug at the first locked door: there was supposed to be a hand design and I was holding a hand, but when the pop-up window opened it was a foot design and I was holding a foot.

Also, the way the sprite jitters when the character makes me feel a little queasy.

Scariest thing is the character in this game lol, didn't really understand as I never died, so seems like I just survived, for now...

I really like the idea of the story. Someone who is nuts enough to go into a dungeon, where you have to sacrifice your own limbs, is cleary not the best person and the design shows that. I can see a lot of potential for a game where you have to sacrifice your colleges to keep pushing deeper, but also loosing unique skills from your colleges in the progress. Paired with some survival mechanic and we have a really good creepy, horror micromanagement game. I like that.

Cool idea! That look/face of the main character is really creepy/gives me the chills. But I was left wanting more!

Interesting concept, though I wish there were more to it - unless there were more than the two rooms I saw? I love the idea of starting to have to use your own limbs, but as it stands the scariest part was the player character :P Also, I think a few item descriptions/sprites were bugged/incorrect

Developer(+1)

No, that was it unfortunately. I had planned to add a saw, a morphing potion (can see it in the 2nd room but not functional), and more puzzles about exchanging health and limbs as keys but spent way too much time on trying to get a drag and drop inventory working. Appreciate you playing and thank you for the feedback.

Hey, if you were to continue development I'd love to help out in any way I can

Developer

I really appreciate the offer and am truly humbled by you saying that, Lady_Ellhorn! For this project (v1), I've decided I want to keep working on it myself to really force myself to learn how to finish all the features I planned. Thank you again for playing and for being so generous with your time and offer!

Nice little game with good audio, wished it was a bit longer and had more stuff to do in it, the look on the guys face was a bit disturbing to me :D

Developer

Glad you liked it. I'm still learning about where, what, and when to spend time on different parts of the game so I wasted too much time on a drag and drop combination UI logic and didn't get to build out the length or a few of the items. Had planned to at least have one more room and a few more items but ran of time. Thank you for playing.
