The british are dating the mask to 1915. 

What you have seen is correct, the french soldier (the player) is also using the german gas mask. Thats because of crunch time.  So we just used the same asset twice x)

Will it surprise you, that during development I have been listening to "Fields of Verdun" and "Father" by Sabaton basically all the time?

Thank you for your feedback and the bug you found with the keys. We couldn't make them bug during our testing, so we thought it would be a funny little gimmick, but we will have a look again. We have planned to add more physics based objects like chairs or vases for the player to throw (at the monster) to stun them and to add some physics based puzzles to the game. So once again thank you for bringing that to our attention.

Regarding your other points. We have already put them in for the update after the game jam. Please feel free to check the game out again once the update is out. We would appreciate your feedback :D

I really like the interaction with the enemies and the light to be able to see them. There are just two things I miss. First would be that you can't really do much with the enemies, except for running and hiding from them and second I feel like the game is missing some feedback for the player. Be it with the generators or the presence of enemies. It would be really nice if you could hear them, even if you can't see them
But in the end I really like the game and hope to see more in the future.

Even though I couldn't figure it out, the visualls are really really great. They just fit together and the story is definitly interesting. The monster is truly something to be afraid of and I wish we could have seen more of it in action. 

One of the games where I hope to see more of it.

I really enjoyed your pixel art. The normal maps are a really nice touch and I think you can unlock a great artstyle for the game, if you use it accross the board.

It's a nice dungeon runner, like temple run. Thesound and music is really good, but the game turned out a tiny bit too "dark". It's not even that the colors are too dark, but the contrast between the colors is not very strong. It makes it really hard to see where you would fall down and where you have to jump.

I like the idea of the spiral, you have to go up. The monster doesn't follow your path, but goes straight after you, turning the spiral into a really nice skill check. It forces you to build up distance to the monster, to have enough time to climb the spiral, meaning that you are under tension, even if the monster is quit a bit behind you. Thats a problem many other games likes this suffer from. 

The game still needs some clean up work, but it definitly shows innovation and new ideas to an older genre. 

I used two programms to make the assets. Blender for the 3D-Meshes and Aseprite for the textures. You can connect Aseprite to Blender, so that when you work on Texture-Editing, Blender automaticly opens up Aseprite with the targeted texture map. 

I had the insparaton from old PS1 and PS2 games, but with modern lighting. I like this clash of aestehtics from Minecraft ressource packs. I am very glad you enjoy it :D

I really like the idea of the story. Someone who is nuts enough to go into a dungeon, where you have to sacrifice your own limbs, is cleary not the best person and the design shows that. I can see a lot of potential for a game where you have to sacrifice your colleges to keep pushing deeper, but also loosing unique skills from your colleges in the progress. Paired with some survival mechanic and we have a really good creepy, horror micromanagement game. I like that.

The one with the long fingers is the sister and the idea for her is to be able to creep up and surprise the player. However, we had more sounds planned, especially for the ambience, but also for the brother and the sister. The reason why I am telling that is, that we have decided to keep working on this little game. We got a lot of positive feedback, not only here, so we will be adding more sounds, music and noise to the game. If you want please check it out, once we update the game. The update will come out after the game jam has finished.

Oh wait, in a bush? Ok I will have a look again, maybe I walked by it the entire time. 

I couldn't find the satelite outsight. Walked all around the house and even through the forest, but I could neither find the satelite or something to get on the roof. But the horror in this game still unfolded once I saw what happened in the toilet.

The closets should work, but the brother always waits at the last point of source of sound. After a quick while he should leave the place though. We will have a look into that behaivor. Thank you for bringing that up and your feedback :D

You have hit a wound. We forgot about the pause function and then it was too late to implement it. You are completly right, that people need the time to read the notes.

Wow, I am really amazed by this game. It's really incredible what you accomplished in just one week.

I really like the graphics and the gameplay is very smooth.
The only thing I have to complain about is that the puddles kill you instantly, while other traps don't, but that can also be just my own skill issue.
But this is my only complaint and it's a really good game :D
