Really well done! I think the tutorial could be a bit more clear (Until I accidentally drew a circle I had thought the game was about dropping the ball down drew up terrain, and I thought I had to draw within the circle, not actually draw one myself) And obvs sound would go a long way (Although you've said that you would be working on it later on, so not a new problem lol). But even then this is definitely winning material :D
Thanks for playing and commenting. I will take it into account and will make tutorial more clear!
I really enjoyed this one! It’d be awesome if you could draw preset shapes like circles or squares in addition to freehand drawing.
Really fun game! Too bad you didn't have time for any audio, On a physics simulation like this it would make it a lot more satisfying. It reminds me of poly bridge and line rider.

All my complaints are VERY MINOR nitpicks for a game jam game.
closing the circle like this should just make the smaller circle. I sometimes failed making a circle because of this just not working. Just a minor game feel thing.
When you finish a level I wish you could watch your solution play out again. A lot of the satisfaction of games like this is seeing the solution play out so it's kind of sad it's gone once you beat a level.
Art looks great but stylistically the arrows inside the circles do not match the drawn style, they look more "neon" / "retro game", "scifi"...
IMO it would look better if they had the same aesthetic as the rest of the game. I can see a point for the contrast having better clarity but these are my thoughts.
I think a really cool addition would be stats after beating a level. How long did it take? How much ink did you use?
Poly Bridge for example has people doing challenges of using the least amount of money (ink here) or only using certain materials. This would add a lot of replayability trying to optimize for different things!
Great game I hope it does well in the jam!
Wow, that's a really good review!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write it - it's honestly the most detailed and helpful feedback I've ever received on one of my games :D
Audio: yea, I was fully focused on mechanics, so I didn't have time to think about audio and UI(menu), etc. I'll defenetly add those in future updates after the jam.
Closing the circle: actually, I've already working on improving that after another comment mentioned it. I just don't want to release the new version before the voting period ends.
Art: good catch - point taken! I can defenetly do better here.
Replay: another great point. How did I not think about that? :D
Stats: I've already have a lot of ideas related to this. For example, have STARS to collect in levels, or tracking how long the ball takes to reach the bin (shorted = better). Spent ink another one as well. Just need to play around with all of the variation and find most satisfying.
I really considering turning this into a full game with workshop where players can create and vote on their own levels!
Thanks again for such an amazing review!
Glad you appreciated the review!
I really liked it! I can totally see this becoming a full mobile game in the future!
The tech for this is really cool. Was it difficult to implement this system of drawing enclosed areas in Godot?
Great game!
Great question! :D
My background is 10 years in enterprice programming, and I recently started learning game dev as a hobby. Before this, I had only played around with platforming mechanics. Without that background, it probably would've been imposssible for me to make it in just 2 days.
When the theme and object were revealed for the jam, I came up with this idea and decided to experiment with it. It was an iterative process with lots of trial and error. I spent around 2 days just working on the main machanic and 1 day on everything else :D. At first, it was much buggier, but step by step I fixed the issues and made it smoother to draw.
By the way, I already have a better version of drawing mechanic, but I don't want to update it until the voting period ends.
If you found it interesting, I might make a dev vlog or something with more technical details about how it works, since I couldn't find anything like that online. Anyway, I plan to keep working on it and see if people enjoy it.
Thanks for the comment and for playing!
I'm also interested in a technical breakdown if possible!
If at least one person is interested, then I'll definitely do it! :D
I plan to make a YouTube devlog for this game, along with a tutorial where I'll go through all the steps of how I implemented the mechanics. It'll take some time to make sure the tutorial is clean and clear, and I'll include the GitHub source code as well.
You can follow me or add this game to your collection - I expect to post devlog here in about a week or so.
Or let me know if there's another way I can share it with you :D
I followed you already!
Thanks! I really appreciate it
Nice game bro
Thanks bro!
This was fun !
Took a bit to get used to the physics, but managed to get to the end, love that there is multiple ways to finish each levels
Thanks for playing! Great that you did it to the end!
This was actually really fun
The mechanics allow for lots of puzzle potential
Thanks! Yes, I have a lot of ideas which I want to implement!
Wonderful game, I like your take on the idea.
It's very fun and I'd love to see a full game with this.
Thanks! Glad you liked it. I actually have plans to turn it into a full game. Follow if you’re interested in seeing the final version :D
Simple concept but well done! there were some difficult levels in there!
Thanks! I tried to make some of the level a bit harder ;)
I think this is a case of a simple concept done really well. The UI and the tutorial are also really good, well done : )
Thanks!
It's really a fun game I got immersed really quickly! Just I had a bit of hard time adjusting to closing the circles but I got used to it after a while.
Also thanks for your comments on our submission!
Thanks for comment! I work on this closing the circles hard to make it feel easy, but still have some problem :D Actually your comment gave me idea how to improve it! Thank you very much! Will fix it!
I am happy it sparked an inspiration, I would like to see the outcome.
whoa! I love this! the puzzling somehow reminds me of Lemmings? I guess placing stuff to make the thing go to the goal? maybe a tenuous comparison. all the same, super-cool, and always satisfying to pull off a fun projectile arrangement of blobby shapes for victory!
Glad you found it fun!
very nice game! felt like playing a flash-game in 2006 *beard-growing-longer*
AHahaha, thanks for comment!
Love the gameplay on this one!
Thanks for playing!
Nice little game!
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it!
Make the page public
Hi there, sorry didn't answer earlier. It was not ready yet, I didn't know that in this jam you can see submissions before voting period.
Right now it is public but I hope I will have time to add juice/sounds/menu/music.
