Interesting idea! A bit of polish can make this game really fun. I had problem with sounds as music was playing two different songs at the same time and pretty lound :(

If at least one person is interested, then I'll definitely do it! :D
I plan to make a YouTube devlog for this game, along with a tutorial where I'll go through all the steps of how I implemented the mechanics. It'll take some time to make sure the tutorial is clean and clear, and I'll include the GitHub source code as well.
You can follow me or add this game to your collection - I expect to post devlog here in about a week or so.
Or let me know if there's another way I can share it with you :D
Wow, that's a really good review!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write it - it's honestly the most detailed and helpful feedback I've ever received on one of my games :D
Audio: yea, I was fully focused on mechanics, so I didn't have time to think about audio and UI(menu), etc. I'll defenetly add those in future updates after the jam.
Closing the circle: actually, I've already working on improving that after another comment mentioned it. I just don't want to release the new version before the voting period ends.
Art: good catch - point taken! I can defenetly do better here.
Replay: another great point. How did I not think about that? :D
Stats: I've already have a lot of ideas related to this. For example, have STARS to collect in levels, or tracking how long the ball takes to reach the bin (shorted = better). Spent ink another one as well. Just need to play around with all of the variation and find most satisfying.
I really considering turning this into a full game with workshop where players can create and vote on their own levels!
Thanks again for such an amazing review!
Great question! :D
My background is 10 years in enterprice programming, and I recently started learning game dev as a hobby. Before this, I had only played around with platforming mechanics. Without that background, it probably would've been imposssible for me to make it in just 2 days.
When the theme and object were revealed for the jam, I came up with this idea and decided to experiment with it. It was an iterative process with lots of trial and error. I spent around 2 days just working on the main machanic and 1 day on everything else :D. At first, it was much buggier, but step by step I fixed the issues and made it smoother to draw.
By the way, I already have a better version of drawing mechanic, but I don't want to update it until the voting period ends.
If you found it interesting, I might make a dev vlog or something with more technical details about how it works, since I couldn't find anything like that online. Anyway, I plan to keep working on it and see if people enjoy it.
Thanks for the comment and for playing!
Really interesting interpretation of the theme! I like how you used tweens here! :D I'm not really into visual novels, so I kind of missed some elements that could ''dilute'the gameplay a bit. From a gameplay perspective, it felt a bit like a 'keyboard piano' :D
Anyway, great work on both the technical side and the theme interpretation!
