This was a very unexpected and pleasant experience! The mechanics were fun and just before they get repetitive, you add more! Like the ability to whitewash(?) completely flipped the game on it's head. Feedback I would give is to make the collision shapes fully envelope the green platforms (often I just slipped through the very edges) and maybe snap the player to edge of the platform to avoid them falling off trying to move the block.

Overall, engaging  and underrated. :)

Cool! love this idea of having to collect resources to stay alive as opposed to exclusively dodging in these kind of "scrolling games" (Not sure what their technical name is). While the art is nice, I feel there's not enough contrast between the paper and the background, so the cracks become difficult to see. All in all though, Amazing job :)

P.S I got a high score of 10 :D

Yup, lol. I think everyone who played this found that strat. Glad you enjoyed it thou :)

Thank you :)

:D Pen is overpowered FR

It happened to me too as well :,(

CLARE DE LUNE???!! ULTRAKILL?!?! FRAUD CONFIRMED?!?!??!?! But in all seriousness this was very aesthetically pleasing, the flashing lights were a bit much, but all in all good game :D

Thank you :)

Could I ask why you submitted your game on the first day as opposed to the last? No hate or anything I'm just curious if you put a challenge on yourself or just didn't have time.

the portal mechanic is VERY interesting, but I can't comprehend using the alt button on the fly :|. Although this has potential, good job!

Really well done! I think the tutorial could be a bit more clear (Until I accidentally drew  a circle I had thought the game was about dropping the ball down drew up terrain, and I thought I had to draw within the circle, not actually draw one myself) And obvs sound would go a long way (Although you've said that you would be working on it later on, so not a new problem lol). But even then this is definitely winning material :D

You can spam the black bullets and never die lol, and I am not sure how you're supposed to react in time for the notepad/pages. But music is nice :)

Thank you for checking my game out! Admittedly the reason I was able to implement the drawing was because I focused purely on making it reality and put aside optimisations, so while it works, the resolution and hence the number of pixels you could draw was reduced heavily otherwise the game would brick up. So if I were to try again someday, I would defo approach it differently. :D

Epic

Cool, and you've added so many levels too! :)

I really like this art style.

Thank you!

Yeah,  in it's current state its not that interesting as you can just cheese the game by dotting the drawing around the earth and then you don't have to do anything, as some other players have pointed out.  I agree that something should be added or changed, but I'm not too sure what you're suggesting. Do you mean like different inks or shapes of the brush?

Very well done! The platforming was tight, the art was really nice, the music was banging and all of the skills flowed nicely into each other. Any complaints that I have is just skill issue on my part :)

Nice. I've tried it now and the atmosphere is very cool, the dash is really neat and the checkpoint placing mechanic is a lifesaver. The gravity spheres are a bit confusing and finicky to use. But well done nonetheless :)

Fun little sandbox :)

Really well done, this is probably the most fleshed out game I've seen in this jam so far. The writing was a bit unresponsive for me but generally this is brilliant!

Very nice

The character movement was a bit on the slow side, but everything else was fine, well done!

I've tried the game now and while short, it's fun! Albeit the score doesn't seem to update often (I'd assume the score is either how many ink squares you've splatted) but apart from that it's well done. Thanks for going through all that effort :)

I definitely liked it! sorry If I didn't make that clear lol.

Same here lmao

I see alot of people talking about how the crafting is a bit redundant in the game, maybe a solution could be to make each crafting shape limited, then have a set amount of "generators", so you could farm two shapes at a time but not all three. I'd think this would make the player think more about what resources they are lacking and hence be more engaged.

Also, maybe allow rotations in the crafting for different effects. For example, making the rocket in a diagonal fashion would make three smaller, weaker rockets, and turning it horizontal would make a weaker homing rocket.

Obviously don't be too pressured to add everything and anything, do what you want to do. This game has gotten me to yap and you should be proud(?) of that. :)

Yo thanks, I'll go try it again :)

You sound like you were out of it, writing up your"how does your game relate to theme and special object" response :) (Art and game is amazing btw)

HOOOOLY MOOLY!!?!!?! Your cover of black hole sun goes RIDICULOUSLY HARD.

Truly a rage game. :,)

This is your first game jam? Props to you cuz this game got me fully engaged for a solid 5 minutes. :)

The web version has an issue where the start button is hidden behind the scoreboard. Ignoring that, nice and quaint game you've made!

I'm in love with this. You should really pursue a voice acting career :D.

thank you!

Yeah, I was thinking of adding aliens at some point that would act differently to the meteors. Just depends if I have the energy for it lol.

thank you : )

Looks cool, but the download doesn't include an exe or something I can run.  Am I being silly?

How do u progress in the potion minigame? I picked the right ingredients (I think) but there was no option to submit it and I just had to let the time run out.

Apart from that, love the art style. : )
