Loved the art style!

Such beautiful art, congrats! Really fun game — the minigames are varied and interesting, though I felt it takes a bit long to collect everything. For a jam, I usually prefer something a bit faster-paced to be honest, but still, it’s super fun and well thought out. Great job!

If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun

why is bird egoraptor in the game

Jokes aside, I had fun with the office and the canon minigame! However, i'm kinda sad that the double-bounce coffin upgrade is useless since you can't bounce on graves.
To be honest, i found the Charon minigame boring, there's not much challenge and grabbing the coins is frustrating, but i understand this is due to time constraints! All things considered, making three minigames for a 5-days game jam is an ambitious task and you pulled that off quite well!

Developer

I did the design for the Charon minigame and I definitely think it needed more time in the oven. The other two designs definitely did a good job of having a simple enough design to have a fun gameplay loop within the time constraint we had. Also, we referred to Orpheus as Bird Burnham throughout development but I definitely see bird egoraptor lol

I really adore the take on the idea and the visuals of this game! I really enjoy the idea of playing minigames to pay off your debt.

One thing that I had a problem with is from two of the minigames.

1, the office minigame, I don't have a problem with the gameplay itself, it can get fun when you're juggling souls around. but I feel like even if you tried to survive for longer, it's a gauranteed loss when there's an overwhelming amount of ghosts to the point where it's near impossible of beating it. the souls should atleast dissappear for awhile or atleast have a limit to the number of souls that spawn in. but it had a cool concept and I dig it!

2, the bottle game, it's honestly tedious trying to drag every individual coin to the coin bag, especially for the overwhelming amount of coins and souls overlapping it making it harder to drag them, I see no reason to try and grab the coins since they just get stuck at times due to the souls and coins overlapping. I would suggest adding a way to push multiple objects (specifically coins) to the coin bag to lessen the tedious task. but managing bottles is pretty fun.

I never really had a problem with the canon minigame, although it gives you an absurd amount of money through little effort put into it and with a lack of punishment in the minigame. but other than that, I had fun throwing coffins at the graves lol.

although the minigames could've been more refined, considering that you had to make all that within a time limit is daunting so I'll let it slide. The game has a really good concept and I adore the visuals! and I say you should continue on it!

Developer

The bottle game was definitely something that would have been aided with getting its upgrades in and some finer tuning!

Why's orpheus a chicken tho

Developer(+1)

He can transform into a bird to sneak into Hades :D

Developer(+2)

We went with the idea of him being a "song bird". He just happens to look like a chicken too.

Im A fun of Wario wares micro games, it’s a lot stressful for the art team, but your team should try it out at least once :D with your team, you might just pull of something.

Wish your table’s twenty good luck

Developer

Can't speak for the rest of the team, but that's one of dream game ideas. I love wario ware type games and I feel like there's not a lot of games like it out there. I was very much inspired by those designs when thinking of ideas for this game

This was one of my favorite games of the jam what a great job!!! I’d love if you could check out and rate my game as well!!!

Developer

I bet you say that to all the girls. lmao *twirls hair* We love your game as well! Best of luck out there!

The art in this game is amazing!!! Really cool premise as well. My only nit-pick is that it can get quite annoying in the factory minigame as you can never grab the spirit you want.  Apart from that, great work :)

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Art is absolutly stuning; love the look of the demon and the dude in the boat, would have liked more money making upgreads and for the river game to make it easyer to colect coins

Developer

Thank so much for the compliments and feedback <3

Awesome, polished game — well done! I spent most of my time on the cannon minigame, since the ghost one felt a bit hectic. You might consider slowing down how quickly the ghost count ramps up (though that could just be me). Anyway, great job!

The art is really well done and the general vibe of the game feels very polished. The minigames were individually fun though I didn't quite figure out the river one. Good work!

Addicting game play and gorgeous visuals. I would love to see this more expanded upon in the future. I'm amazed this was done in only 4 days for the jam because this alone feels already so fleshed out. Definitely want to return to this one and am saving it as one of my favorites from the jam.
