Wow, what an awesome game! Incredible sound design and OST, DeltaMudkip did a fantastic job in that regard. The sprite work is great too, simple in theme yet very effective. The attention to detail is great too, such as the screenshakes (we love this in our game TermiNera if you couldnt tell, haha.) and how the UI even has animations. This is the start of something stellar in my opinion. Gave you a follow too, excited for the future!
I love the attention to detail, those small things that elevates the game like the jump: the little poof in the bottom, the light screen shake and the sound makes you "feel" the jump. Great job! I also added to my list to play more latter its definitely one to keep an eye for after the jam if you decide to keep going with it. Congrats, deserves more attention.
Reeeeally love the art style, colour palette and animations for this one! The platforming felt fun and polished too. Great jpb!!
This is a game I could easily find myself getting lost in for hours! I love the retro aesthetic, it feels like a classic Metroidvania game I'd find as lost media! Can't wait to see what else you have in store!!
Fun game. good job
this was fun!! i love the animation and the style of it, i also love the way to get health back! very handy
IS THAT SANS FROM UNDERTALE?!?!?!?!?!?!
Our artist makes Undertale art!
I loved everything! the only thing I wish that could change is a different sound for you getting hurt, and smoother movement and world collisions. I had left to the menu RIGHT BEFORE THE BOSS D: Great game 5/5 EVERYTHING
This was sick! The combat was really well done and tight, and the boss fight at the end was tuned really nicely! From art, gameplay and sound, this game was really well done, great job!
This is just so cool! I really loved this game, the visual style for one is awesome, the player animations are really nice! BUT THE MUSIC THOUGH, I need the boss music on my playlist, it's so peak! The normal ost that plays during most of the game is so good too, as someone else mentioned it's castlevania like, but it straight up is, and has bloody tears's intro part which is super cool! The UI is really cool too, I really liked the inventory system, appreciate the extra effort in the item descriptions too! The environment is really well laid out and was a proper good metroidvania setup which is super impressive for a jam! This is just awesome, fantastic work!
DeltaMudkip is getting ready to release the tracks on his Soundcloud, keep an eye out!
Love the castlevania-esque music. In terms of audio, my only nitpick would be the coin sound effect. I feel it is a little out of place (but this is a nitpick). Overall great music, nice simple combat and I am quite impressed by the metroidvania level design you managed to make. I hope you develop it further!!
Great game, loved the art and the music, it was really well done. I also liked the animations with the player's cloak blowing around as they fall, and the chain/whip, it feels really satisfying. The concept was pretty cool as well where you can heal yourself using the corpses of your enemies, felt like a neat use of the game jam theme. I did run into a bug where after viewing my inventory amidst the shop and then closing it, I ended up unable to move. The WebGL version also seems to be having some issues, it was taking forever to load the main menu and I had to switch over to the windows version. Well done overall though.
Hi! The bug of the inventory screen and pause overlapping their level pause behaviour should be fixed now, as well as the WebGL version refusing to load. Please let me know if there's any other game breaking bugs like those
Great game, and I’m excited to see how this progresses down the line :)
This is super cool that you were able to make a metroidvania in such a short period of time!
Impressive little metroidvania. Got that lille "a-ha, so now i can go there" spirit. Awesome work
