Hi! I am interested in teaming up :D
I can help in programming, art or music (whatever is necessary). This will be my second game jam.

Thank you for your kind words : )
I am thinking of a lot more ideas for how to expand / add to the game (somehow all of these had to come right after the jam ended LOL). Some I have in mind are to make it so that peasants have limited uses (once dead) and another is that each level has a time limit sorta. Still thinking though.
I love this. Everything felt intuitive and I really really love the kirby-like mechanic of consuming the powers of an enemy / entity. It always makes me wonder what else might be possible. Short and sweet. One suggestion would be checkpoints after every major chunk of the level. I hope you develop it further and add more critters !!
Thank you! The realization that you can move bodies was intended to be at level 3 (the reason why you have only 2 peasants).
My plans post-jam are to fix the bugs, improve the game feel, re-work the levels and (potentially - if there is interest) add new hazards and peasants.
A lot of this was made in a big rush (levels were designed last minute) and I was learning Godot as I was making this game, which resulted in some questionable design choices... but I will try my best!
I love this game a lot. Time: 8:00.33
I spent a while just avoiding everything that could hurt me LOL, then realized I was supposed to die. I think 4 of those minutes were me avoiding things and going to the next room. I love this aesthetic of game where it is sort of 2.5D. Thank you for making this!
Love the castlevania-esque music. In terms of audio, my only nitpick would be the coin sound effect. I feel it is a little out of place (but this is a nitpick). Overall great music, nice simple combat and I am quite impressed by the metroidvania level design you managed to make. I hope you develop it further!!
This game is peak. Although I do not see the relevance with the theme, of how death can be an opportunity, I loved the art direction, the music and the levels. Sometimes when there are lots of deaths, and I am moving the stage around, it feels like a frying pan LOL. Amazing game. If this was a steam game, I'd probably buy it.
I really love the concept. Some things felt a little confusing to me personally, such as where I was supposed to go (but it can be argued that the player should experiment with their surroundings and find their path). I also think that the jumping up between the two logs felt a little bit awkward. I wasn't really sure if I was supposed to go up there initially, but then managed to and realized that was the intended path. For when you fall down and land on the "spikes", I might recommend making them more visually recognizable, and also signal to the player that this was a death by making the death immediate (or an animation) with a sound effect maybe. All in all, I think what you did was good and you should keep working on the game and polish it even further! I love the voiced intro and the art direction as a whole.
