Visually superb, animations and effects are excellent. Not so sure about how well the game matches the theme though, and even less so about the “educational value”. But the game itself is quite impressive.
Thanks for the kind comments :) Yeah we had initially planned for survival aspects, with plans for quizzes and puzzles (which would have been educational in nature) that you'd need to complete and pass in order to keep surviving and move to the next area.. but, jam time did its thing :)
BlackMageUK was talking about educational value and i immediatly shut him down - not knowing it was a judging criteria :P so thats my fault xD thanks for playing!
Wow what a class looking game, though with the talent on this team one expected nothing less :) This looks like such a complete game, everything just works and feels totally solid. That is a lot of work for two weeks. I am impressed also at how well you must have worked together on this, think I would struggle in a team :) The graphics are perfect, cuteness levels just right, the whole game has a great atmosphere as well. Animations are smooth, I am guessing Clays work there :) I think you can tell you guys had fun making this. So now I want more :) Rooms that make use of the camera change to find items or solve a puzzle would be a good addition, some blob shadows to lock the characters to the ground would be nice as well. But that is super nit picking what is a wonderful game. Well done to you all.
Rotating camera to solve a room is very interesting idea.
Initially we wanted to have puzzles, and more monsters (in general) for every room, and even crafting (things like building bridges between rooms etc).
I'd definitely like to explore this "core" functionality further at some point in the distant future.
thanks for lovely feedback and for playing the game!
incorporating the camera for puzzle/secrets is a brilliant idea, shame the rotating camera was a last ditch effort to polish and was not considered as a more integrated feature! great ideas
Looks amazing! Feels a bit clonky and I think the weapons are decreasing the dmg? :D
Thanks you for playing!
Depending on the dmg if your starter wep, you might spawn with godroll. The weapon dmg/price scaling is entirely random
(i spam open shop until i get low cost/high dmg xD )Looks and Sounds Amazing. Found the clicking a bit weird but thats prob a skissue, Pressing on an enemy usually had me walking rather than attacking
Thank you for playing!
Probably less skissue and more jamgame issue :)
Visually beautiful game. Very fun to play and easy to grasp too. I feel the dragon is way too powerful but that just instilled a feeling of "I can do this" that kept me trying again and again. The map layout with the rotation controls works really well and I liked the requirements for different materials to pass certain doors, it almost gives the game a tycoon feel to it.
Thank you for playing :)
The dragon is very powerful (even after nerf) - but im glad it was encouraging you to try again!
Cool point and click game, though I feel like the dragon is way too strong and 2-shots me. Even with a good weapon, it feels like you can not really win, unless this was the point of it. Graphics were very nice. also FEEEESSSHHHH
Thanks for playing! :D
The boss is stronk! But can be defeated using tactic over brawns xD
FEESH!
What a very slick game this is. Everything works, it looks great, love the rotating camera, the gameplay is simple but not boring, the grid based map works really nice (takes me back to the old days of Ultimate Play the Game games on the c64). This is crying out for more levels and larger areas to explore. I would like to have seen the map expand with you rather than showing you the rooms you haven't been to yet but that's a minor quibble. More enemies would be nice as only see a wolf occasionally. The music fits perfectly and it is just all round very professional and is deserves more levels. Love it.
Thank you for the lovely feedback! glad you liked it :D
the minimap zoom could be expanded to also zoom camera, now that you mention it.
there are a couple more enemies but since its procgen you may even have runs without any enemies (didnt have time to do more balancing)
thanks for playing and again for feedback, some great ideas to note if we decide to take this further!
Thanks! Means a lot coming from you!
This game was inspired by Old School Runescape. which (i assume) was inspired by the Ultimate series.
We def wanted to add more enemies, but ran into other problems that needed addressing.
Also i wasn't able to allocate as much time as i did for the last jam, but happy we still managed to ship a functional product. :D
Thanks for taking the time to play and comment - we appreciate the feedback ;) Glad you liked the music (that was my contribution to this game) - it took a while to get into the headspace of the genre but I'm happy it eventually worked well with the vibe.
Looks great, very responsive controls, love how the camera can rotate. If point and click games are you thing, this is 100% your thing. Great job guys.
Thanks for playing! :) was fun to watch you play, hehe.
Glad you like the camera (and ill just include under willfull assumption, the minimap) motions! (I did that :D )
Also i blame clay!
Great visuals, fun game. Love the presentation and theme. Took a long time to load, but that’s understandable for WebGL. Good job.
Thanks! Yeah webgl be like that, sadly.
Thank you for playing!
Great game! Nejoyable combat (skills are needed for sure), broad variety ob interactible things, randomly generated map, great visuals and quite some thought behind this project. Definetly a 10/10 from me here BUT it does not embrace the "Man vs. Nature" themen a lot.
Thanks for feedback and for playing! Themes are often very open for interpretation so i can definitely see how some may feel that :)
The idea is quite good :) After more work I believe it could be made to a sellable game :)
We'll see if this project gets continued. Thanks for playing!
Nice game
Thanks! Thank you for playing! :)
