I really cannot understand why this game didnt do better, can only think the large download put some people off (I know how that feels). Certainly one of my favourites, it really did deserve better. Anyway I truly hope that doesn't put you off this could be an amazing game. I don't envy you the level design mind.

Just completed this game for Jern Jam 2025 and was able to gain 1st place in 'how it looks' and 2nd places in 'education' and 'sound'.
The game is an accurate recreation of the building of the famous Bell Rock Lighthouse.
As this is jam game made in only 2 weeks it has issues and isnt complete but we are working on polishing it up and adding more functionality.

That is hugely kind of you. We both really appreciate your comments. Had a lot of fun doing something new.
As you know I loved your game, it is extremely slick, solid and polished and great fun to play. Best of luck with it, I do hope you continue to develop it. I will keeping an eye on it.
Thanks again. Best of luck.
Hey Kilted, thank you for taking the time to try the demo and for the feedback. I can't find fault with anything you say and get where you are coming from and no-one is more disappointed we weren't able to include the actual building side than Chris as he put a lot of work early on on that side but reluctantly agreed to focus on other areas to deliver a more coherent product. This year we made the decision to focus on the theme and making a proper educational experience as these were definitely areas we have not ever really covered before in games, certainly didn't want to do another racing game. About halfway through it was obvious we weren't going to be able to get everything we wanted done, which is a shame as Chris had the cranes working lifting blocks into place, so we knocked the RPG side on the head to focus on the experience side. It was a hard choice but you have to be realistic with only 2 weeks. We are working more on the project this week and have already included a free camera so you will be able to explore the scene much more. For me this period after the jam is the best time, the pressure is off, you have more time to get things write and only the self inflicted pressure to get things done.
The plan for the game is to require the player to actually construct the lighthouse with the reward being able to see it working properly. We have most of the assets done for the complete tower, more of which you will see after the voting is done, as well as the working cranes etc.
For us one thing we also try to do in these jams is use them as a way to test ideas that we could use in our main project and this year we got a lot sorted on that side an am looking forward to implementing the,
Anyway again thank you so much for your feedback and we look forward to putting out an update after the jam.
This is lovely. You have done an amazing job with this and been itching to play it. This is a lot of fun to play and I hope you add more to it as it deserves it. The gameplay is simple but you can plan ahead and getting a combo is very rewarding. I found myself wishing there was more room at the top to give more notice as to what blocks are coming or maybe a stack of the upcoming blocks to the side of the play area, this would allow more planning and more 4 or possibly 5 matches or the holy grail of getting a 6!!! The difficulty ramps up as other colours are introduced and maybe allowing the player to move up and 1 level or possibly allow them to move freely would allow more tactics in the game. Anyway great game and one of the few that I have played multiple times and will play again.
What a very slick game this is. Everything works, it looks great, love the rotating camera, the gameplay is simple but not boring, the grid based map works really nice (takes me back to the old days of Ultimate Play the Game games on the c64). This is crying out for more levels and larger areas to explore. I would like to have seen the map expand with you rather than showing you the rooms you haven't been to yet but that's a minor quibble. More enemies would be nice as only see a wolf occasionally. The music fits perfectly and it is just all round very professional and is deserves more levels. Love it.
I don't think anyone would want to live in any of the solar systems I made, they would live very long. This is a brilliantly simple idea and very slickly implemented. No fuss just throw your planets around the sun. Great feeling if you manage to get a nice circular orbit and great fun throwing in an elliptical one in and seeing how long it takes to take out all the previous planets. Find myself drawn back to this for just one more go. Very nice indeed.
This was probably the game I played for the longest. My kind of level, easy to understand and pick up, got my production line of honey and mead and was able to feed the bear. The art style perfectly fits the game and overall it just has a really nice feel to it. Very nice. When can we expect expansion packs?
This was probably my most anticipated game of the jam as I live in Spain and see these planes in action every fire season and they really are something to behold.
This is a great game and I really enjoy dumping the water and seeing the fire go, very rewarding and enjoyable. Is it possible to access the infinite fuel and infinite water options as for me that is where the fun is, would love to have just a large fire area with endless water just so i can fly all day putting out fires.
I hope you guys are going to finish this it really deserves it. Love it.
Crikey this is hard. Zero time to hang about you have to be after that gun immediately. There is no easing you into this game, full on from the get go. Not really sure how much 'simulation' is going on here but a solid, if hard, fun game. Not sure if anyone has ever seen the drain addict videos on youtube but main character has copied his walk.
It is a good job I knew where to look for the gun from your streams, maybe a pig arrow over the top could be added.
Great idea for the theme but it does seem to have turned into more man annihilates nature. Did Winnie the Pooh make it in because there is no way I am going to be able to get that far to find out?
What a brilliant little game and clever mechanic of being able to control time and the weather to solve puzzles. The game looks fab, backgrounds are beautiful and main character really nicely animated and the whole game feels polished and professional. My only complaint is that it was over too quickly. You really should finish this game I can see it being very popular. This left me wanting more.
There's a real skill to playing this game, you have to make sure before you shrink that there are enough of each colour remaining too match. This is really fun to play but hard to beat, good combination. Definitely top 5 for me and one I would happily play again. Loved the cool wolf voice and the chill vibe.
What a little gem of a game. Really clever idea and beautifully implemented. I am completely rubbish at it but that hasn't stopped me from trying. This is a game that I do go back to which speaks volumes. Love the animation on the main character. Right lets try again to get across that gap. Must be fun designing the levels!
I loved the intro and title artwork and would have loved if this had carried over into the game, even if you had just kept the bland white looks and a little post process noise and film effect it would have really given the b-movie vibe that the title promises.
I found shooting to be very hit and miss with the game often freezing for periods of time which lead to many a quick death. To be fair this was on the webgl version so probably need to give the download a chance before rating.
This was one of the games I was saving till last to play as I was really looking forward to playing it. First hole and I wasn't disappointed, hole in one, yay, here we go. and at this point i have to say this is a great little game with solid mechanics and a great look but I do have a couple of points. From hole 2 the difficulty goes through the roof as other than a brief scroll through of the level you have no real idea of where your ball will end up. The game really needs to show you a view from the hole to your ball each stroke to give you a fighting chance or maybe some kind of hole map to help you plan your shot but this is a bit like playing golf with your eyes shut. Also the addition of hazards should be a gradual affair but by the 3rd hole you have tunnels, moles, bottomless pits, lava, hedgehogs, birds all making the game harder. I appreciate you may not have the time but I would love to play this game with some simpler starter holes and one of the suggestions for showing what's coming up, this could be a great game. Damn game jams and their ridiculous time constraints!!! Having said that it was still in my top 3 for fun to play, great stuff.
Really love the art style and the humour of the title screen also the subtle effect on the game screen is a nice touch. The characters are fun and really makes you want to play the game. The game itself is very simple which is fine. It didn't seem to get any harder the longer I played so ultimately just stopped.
I think I am just no good at survival games. This seems like a solid effort at this genre but I always seem to be dying in these games. A small tutorial or some clear instructions on what to do would really benefit someone like me (old). Sorry I cannot really give you much more feedback than that. Maybe you could post some instructions so I can have another go.
Bold attempt to tackle an important subject. The idea of a number of different games in a short 2 week span is brave. If I may say maybe dropping a couple of the games and throwing a bit more love on the remaining ones might have served better but I totally get that you wanted to highlight as much as you could.
The character interaction was fun and informative so nails the education side and the game really captures the theme.
Fun game with an important message.
Very simple game that would really benefit for a few extra game mechanics, such as avoiding falling more solid objects (acorns etc.), maybe some insects to avoid on the ground, poison leave to avoid, pick leaves up before they turn brown, squirrels throwing nuts, maybe wind moving the leaves around. I think this deserves a little extra time spent on it and it could be a great fun little game.
I better title screen that reflects the game more would also be good. The current title screen doesn't do the game any favours.
I am a little confused and sad by this one. The title screen and the game really dont go together, thats the confusing part but my biggest regret for this game was when I started to play, let me explain. On the start screen you have 2 really lovely tree characters to choose from which I think look great and I was really excited to get the chance to play a game with these character but when the game starts they are shrunk down 2 a few tiny pixels. and then the game itself is a little confusing. I would dearly love to see a game featuring your tree characters in full size and please change your title screen to include the trees. The current title screen is for a game I would never play, really off putting, but a screen with those trees on would draw me in every time.
I enjoyed trying to get perfect each time but other than that I didn't find much else in the game. Am I right in thinking that the only thing to do is destroying the few bits of machinery by the arch? I did look around for more to do but failed to find anything. I think with the addition of a storyline and clear goals this could be a fun game.
