The art in this game is really cool, and its nice how you can easily move between rooms to compromise for how slow you are, this is fun!
Thanks! <3
By the way, the speed of everything slowly scales up with the number of scares you've given as you power up and the humans become more and agitated. Eventually it becomes borderline unplayable xD
i wrote a bunch of comments but they disappeared bc i navigated D:
short version though SUPER COOL ART, the contrast is a bit low esp on the game page, it was hard to tell what was happening at first, like between scaring and Losing lol. but Great Job Overall!!!! Vibes 🫡
Thanks a lot! <3
That is a very good point... I got bit too obsessed for my own good with the limited color palette. :D
The game page's theme had the same exact colors as the game.
I now at least made the text a bit brighter. :)
Great concept and presentation, liked it a lot. Leaderboard is a cool addition.
Thanks a lot! :)
I added a leaderboard to my previous gamejam game after the jam and noticed how easy and quick it was. Yet in my opinion it adds a disproportional amount of enjoyment.
Will probably be adding some sort of global leaderboard to any game I'll ever make. :D
Such a fun, unique and beautiful game! Also loved the sound effects :D
Thanks!
Had fun making those sounds! Even the footstep sound is just me going "tu" into my microphone. :D
There were points in time were I feared that the sounds were annoying enough to ruin the whole game, so I'm glad you liked them <3
The game is scary as hell!! I love the sfx and the way his eyes turn red! I gotta give this one a 5 for everything.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it!
Tried my best to make it feel scary even while it is quite silly. :D
Love the art and the game concept and overall gameplay is so good!!
Thanks a lot!
Happy you liked it :)
It took me a few tries to understand how the walls and rooms where separated(sorry didn't read before playing) but once I figured that out it the experience was perfect.
The art is also amazing.
Yeah, the room dividing walls aren't obvious enough. I actually had to add that diagram to the description because others were having the same issue.
Thanks for bothering to figure it out and I'm glad you liked it! :D
Absolutely loved it! And fantastic art style as well. Such a great little game
Thanks! Very glad you liked it! :)
At first, I decided to draw in the room as just a silhouette. Yes, to represent darkness, but mostly to save time.
But I did end up really liking the heavily restricted palette.
Will definitely draw more with restricted palettes in the future <3
the restricted palette works very well!
This was an enjoyable game, it's nice, it's simple yet keeps you playing lol. The art style is nice aswell! Also when the objects turn off themselves, do you not gain points? Or are the points only gained when you get a full scare?
Thanks! Glad you liked it! :)
Yeah, you're trying to collect "scares", so you get points only when a human sees an active object.
Interestingly, seeing misbehaving objects is scary for the humans, but seeing that it was all caused by an intruding ghost just causes them to call an Officer of the Compromise to come and lock you up in the Containment Center :D
Love how you implemented the theme and prerequisite, its simple yet fun, and the art style and subtle humor bring it all together. Its an amazing game!
Thanks! :)
Simple and fun was very much what I tried to go for!
In my previous jam "enjoyment" was overwhelmingly the lowest of my ratings so I tried focusing on that this time.
Glad to hear it worked, at least to some extent! <3
I really like the concept and the art style. The poltergeist fits really well with the night theme. I just had a bit of trouble understanding the system of the different rooms and their boundaries
Thanks! :)
Yeah, I guess the separating walls aren't fully obvious.
And I doubt that many have found all of the activatable objects.
Maybe I should put this diagram in the description..? :D
I don’t think a diagram is needed for all the interactable objects, it’s fun to explore and find them. I only had trouble with the first part; after that, everything was clear.
Removed the objects from the image as to not spoil it to anyone else :D
Wow i love the minimalistic art style.. [game over screen def feels rushed] the idea is great though
Thanks :)
It's a strange world where if a ghost gets seen they get arrested :D
can't ghosts pass through walls [handcuffs] and dissapear?
Special glowing handcuffs for the ghosts :D
This was a very beautiful game and very polished. I loved everything about the game, I wish there were more you could do as the ghost other than gliding around. Very very good game!!
Thanks a lot!
My main goal with this one was to try to make it as simple and as intuitive as possible, and then just polish it. :)
That's because my previous game ended up being quite confusing and obtuse...
Noticed that I couldn't even recommend it to my friends without spouting out a manual's worth of instructions :D
That was so good, I loved it! :D The gameplay is simple yet challenging, the art and presentation is just so cute. The leaderboard is a really nice touch. Well done on your game.
Thanks, glad you liked it! :)
Noticed with my last game how quickly and easily you could add a global leaderboard.
Thought why not here too? :D
